@giuseppecuttone no, you do not need to donate any money to get responses – as you know by now. Please be aware that we are all volunteers living in different time zones.
Please start a new topic if you have questions relating to BuddyPress. Closing this topic. Thanks.
In reply to: Remove Avatar Mouseover Showing Email Address?@ecros Thank you for posting back what the issue was. As r-a-y mentioned above, could you create a ticket for the issue? Are you on WP multisite, network activated or otherwise? It would be great if you could provide more information about your installation.
In reply to: sign up page not working need help@jkpi56 have you enabled registration at Settings > General? Are registration and activation pages assigned to Pages in Settings > BuddyPress > Pages?
@serendipitycss3 thank you for reporting the issue. In the meantime, please go to this page https://wordpress.org/plugins/search.php?q=buddypress
In reply to: Remove Avatar Mouseover Showing Email Address?@ecros looks like you’ve fixed the issue. I don’t see any personal email addresses showing up as the alt text when hovering.
In reply to: [Resolved] BP 2.2 beta 1 login avatar@r-a-y and @djpaul Thank you. Scaling down the login widget avatar to 40px from 60px allowed for more space for long usernames or real names when user is logged in, instead of being wrapped around two lines. Aesthetically, it also made the avatar size uniform with all the other avatars in the other BP widgets.
If you want the large size, it’s a simple fix like so:
.widget.buddypress .bp-login-widget-user-avatar {
width: 60px;
height: 60px;
}edit – forgot to add height before 😉
@newdermeo Go to your wp-admin i.e. example.com/wp-admin and on the left side, there’s a main link named Settings. When you click on it, you’ll find the link to “Permalinks” and click on that. Then you choose other than what is set as default and click on the Save button.
In reply to: Dear developers: Testing data and tools, please!@charlesmabe Testing data
BP – I use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-default-data/
bbPress – download the Sample Data https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/2516 and use WP importer
@newdermeo did you change your Settings > Permalinks to an option other than the default one and clicked on the Save button?
In addition, I only added the link to the multisite configuration just in case you had a multisite installation. Did not intend for you to create one. My apologies if adding that second link confused you.
@newdermeo After activating BuddyPress, you need to configure the components and pages
Single WP install – https://buddypress.org/getting-started/configure-components/
WP Multisite – https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/configure-buddypress-for-multisite/In reply to: [Resolved] Required template files@lukemack this codex article explains it https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/register-and-activation-pages/
Marking this as resolved.
In reply to: Beta Testing: WordPress 4.1 & BuddyPress@jgwolfensberger No problem with WP 4.1 and BP 2.1.1 and bbPress. Just watch out for WP 4.1 compatibiity with custom theme or other plugins.
In reply to: Managing website and Buddypress site@janvbear Go for it. Done that on many sites myself 🙂
@michaeltransmissions As you noted above, the ticket as been closed as wontfix on the UI but lead dev enabled plugin authors to create custom levels by adding a new filter. I’m sorry that there is no plugin that I know of created for your needs. You’d either have to create one or hire someone to do it for you or wait till someone makes it.
In reply to: Buddypress and bbPress?@jwchameleoncorp BuddyPress Codex (Documentation link above) is your friend.
You will need to install bbPress forums which integrates well with BuddyPress. There is a step-by-step guide at https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/ You just have to decide on what forums setup you want for your site.
In reply to: [Resolved] BuddyPress created Blank pagesI installed BuddyPress using the install wizard
@ryanp11 What version of WP and BP are you on? What theme are you using? Can you change to the Twenty Fourteen theme and check if issue is resolved?
In reply to: Slider Revolution Security VulnerabilityThanks @danbp
In reply to: [Resolved] CSS help pleaseIn reply to: [Resolved] Colours of buttons make them unreadable.@laura09 try adding the following to your theme’s stylesheet
#buddypress .comment-reply-link, #buddypress a.button, #buddypress button, #buddypress div.generic-button a, #buddypress input[type=button], #buddypress input[type=reset], #buddypress input[type=submit], #buddypress ul.button-nav li a, a.bp-title-button { color: #000; font-size: 1rem; }if it doesn’t work, please provide a throw-away username and password so we could log in.
In reply to: [Resolved] Colours of buttons make them unreadable.@laura09 BP enqueues styles which are as minimal as possible so that your theme’s styles could supersede those. There are cases where they don’t. Site url? We’d need to see the issue so we can help you.
In reply to: [Resolved] Mode "wall" in buddypress groups ?@vfreefly check out http://buddydev.com/buddypress/buddypress-activity-wire-updated-buddypress-1-8-buddypress-1-9/ and read instructions plus the comments where there are additional instructions
In reply to: [Resolved] Profile Page Forum bbPress answerThe permalink to the original topic is contained in the post date just like you see under your username above. Saves space. If you are not seeing that in your theme, change to Twenty Fourteen and check if it’s working there.

@tonywong the easy fix for the overlap is to add some padding like so:
#groups-dir-list .group-subscription-div, #groups-list .group-subscription-div { padding-bottom: 8px; }In reply to: Persian support buddypress@sadeghr @henrywright codex should be fine now. Let us know if you still have problems – log in or edits.
