In reply to: [Resolved] Error after clicking sign up button
@jaybee08 have you done some basic troubleshooting like changing to Twenty Fourteen theme and deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress?
In reply to: Buddypress not loading on installation@innovationinitiator What theme are you using? Looks like a theme conflict. To check, change to Twenty Fourteen theme and see if issue is resolved.
since applying the latest updates
@karlajw which updates – BP. WP. Canvas theme, and/or other plugins? When did you start using the Canvas theme? Last time I saw the theme mentioned in this forum (last year), it was not compatible with BuddyPress. If you change to the Twenty Fourteen theme and clear cache, are the issues resolved?
In reply to: Upload documents for profiles@dainismichel I hope you created a child theme of bp-default instead of making your modifications on the bp-default theme directly. http://bpdevel.wordpress.com/2013/11/13/the-future-of-the-bp-default-theme/
As for white screens, aside from increasing memory limits, have you tried renaming your child theme folder in server as well as deactivating all plugins by renaming the plugins folder in server to check if you can access wp-admin?
In reply to: Uploading Avatar constantly failing – No cropping@gt-director incompatible WP/BP versions as noted in your other forum topic https://buddypress.org/support/topic/how-to-viewing-profiles/
In reply to: Displaying profiles WP Default versus ExtendedEach time I select “View” i get the default WP chat profile instead.
incompatible WP/BP versions as noted in your other forum topic https://buddypress.org/support/topic/how-to-viewing-profiles/
@piratescott you could check how @sbrajesh did it with Buddyblog plugin http://buddydev.com/plugins/buddyblog/
In reply to: buddypress tool count total number not workingi used this buddypress tool count total number
@jrzwv you mean https://codex.buddypress.org/buddypress-components-and-features/buddypress-repair-tools-admin-screen/ ? Is the actual member count more OR less than what is showing on your screen? Are you using a cache plugin? If so, have you cleared cache and/or deactivated that plugin?
In reply to: BuddyPress MultisiteI only want multiple child sites with serparated BP instances
@plose2009bx in that case, http://buddydev.com/plugins/buddypress-multi-network/
In reply to: Dating 404 Error Message@jlent14 it is likely a theme issue. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins except BuddyPress to exclude the possibility of plugin/widget conflict?
In reply to: Menu and side bar not showing on iPhone@priya108 Did you check if the theme is “Responsive” before you bought it? If so, please contact the premium theme author for support on this issue. Good luck.
@bluesharp It could be a theme issue. Please change to the Twenty Fourteen theme and check if you see that tab there.
@jrzwv Some of the issues associated with using premium framework themes is that there are more chances of plugin conflicts and that we have no access to the theme. Good thing is, you should be able to get free support for your premium theme.
Change your theme to Twenty Fourteen. If the issue is resolved with the change, then please contact the theme author about the conflict with BuddyPress plugin.
In reply to: Activity Meta Buttons show up Vertically@mixtapela Screenshot of what I see when logged in https://www.dropbox.com/s/lf0opp378lvvn6h/activity-buttons.jpg and the only button out of alignment is the “Report User” button from Wangguard in some instances where a break tag is being inserted after that button.
Before contacting the plugin author for assistance https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wangguard please check whether deactivating some plugins which hook into the activity stream like BP Activity plus resolves the issue. Good luck.
In reply to: BuddyPress Multisite@plose2009bx there is one instance of BuddyPress per WP multisite. You would see the BP admin screens via Network Admin settings. There are plugins to have separate instances of BP per WPMS subsite like those mentioned in this trac ticket.
In reply to: Can't@bluesharp I’ve never used WAMP However for blank pages, you might want to check out https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/troubleshooting/blank-pages/ Also, please make sure that you have “pretty permalinks” set up (not the pseudo-pretty permalinks with /index.php appended).
In reply to: Add sidebar to Registration Page@style960 Based on the markup of your Register page, you’re using a full-width page template. Perhaps if you change it to default page template, the modifications you made will show up. Again, this is only guesswork as I am not familiar with your theme.
@sillery4ever Where are you hosted – locally or shared/vps/dedicated hosting? What other plugins are activated in your installation? Have you tried deactivating all plugins except BuddyPress?
WordPress 3.5.1 – Buddypress 2.0.1
If the 3.5.1 version is not a typo, know that that WP version is compatible up to BP 1.8.1 only. https://codex.buddypress.org/developer/releases/
In reply to: Can't@bluesharp It would help if you provide more information about your installation because what’s happening with your installation is not the norm. Where are you hosted – locally or on shared/vps/dedicated hosting? Have you deactivated all plugins except BP/bbPress ?
In reply to: Activity Meta Buttons show up Vertically@mixtapela it’s been a while, sorry I missed your other posts. Could you provide the updated URL to your site (as the URL in first post leads to nowhere) as well as a throw-away user account so we could check it out.
In reply to: Add sidebar to Registration PageI’m advised by Buddyboss support to call the sidebar on this page: /buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/registration/register.php … I am editing the right file?
@style960 No idea why their support is advising you to call the sidebar on the bp-default theme instead of using BP theme compatibility as we have no access to the premium theme. Perhaps you just need to clarify what they really meant by asking them to provide you with an example. Surely, you are not the only on who wants a sidebar in that theme.
all my users are in database, but i cant edit them by this page ….wordpress/wp-admin/users.php
@sillery4ever Surprised. WP/BP versions? BuddyPress adds BP-specific admin panels and some filters, etc. only and doesn’t remove anything in wp-admin. So what happens when you deactivate BP, do the users show up again in wp-admin/users.php?
In reply to: Extended Profile Deletes Base Profile "Display Name"@solutionstriwareca Have not ever seen this issue before. Could you provide more information about your installation? Is this a fresh installation or did you upgrade from another WP or BP version?
In reply to: Having a bug in my browser title bar…@barniseun Have you checked the forums of the theme author re compatibility with BuddyPress or any template solutions? I can imagine that there are users of the theme or those from the same theme author who would like to install BP in their sites.
