    As DJPaul says, since this isn’t written for wpmu and buddypress, it works fine but should use this plugin carefully…

    1. Users who register with this RPX plugin will bypass buddypress required field(s). I have two required fields, but user could register without filling them all.

    2. If you use it with Welcome Pack, default friend is not added. group is automatically registered by the way…

    3. Even if you make your buddypress invite only, this plugin never cares that. ;)

    I guess it’s better to use FB connect and OpenID plugin than this all in one RPX if you want to run buddypress.

    John, is your site-wide.css working? When I create one, it breaks the layout of member theme contents…

    I think, remove_filter and add_filter is somewhat conflicting.

    If we can sort this out, then we should be able to choose which field is hyperlinked, and not hyperlinked.

    function my_fix_linking(){

    remove_filter( \'bp_the_profile_field_value\',

    \'xprofile_filter_link_profile_data\', 2 );

    add_filter( \'bp_the_profile_field_value\',

    \'my_filter_link_profile_data\', 2, 3 );

    }

    add_action(\'bp_member_theme_functions\', \'my_fix_linking\');

    This code seems to be wrong. Anyone can figure out another working code?

    <br />
    function my_fix_linking(){<br />
    remove_filter( \\\\\\\'bp_the_profile_field_value\\\\\\\',<br />
    \\\\\\\'xprofile_filter_link_profile_data\\\\\\\', 2 );<br />
    add_filter( \\\\\\\'bp_the_profile_field_value\\\\\\\',<br />
    \\\\\\\'my_filter_link_profile_data\\\\\\\', 2, 3 );<br />
    }<br />
    add_action(\\\\\\\'bp_member_theme_functions\\\\\\\', \\\\\\\'my_fix_linking\\\\\\\');</p>
    <p>function my_filter_link_profile_data($field_value,<br />
    $field_type = \\\\\\\'textbox\\\\\\\', $field_id){<br />
    if ( \\\\\\\'textbox\\\\\\\' == $field_type)<br />
    return $field_value;<br />
    else xprofile_filter_link_profile_data($field_value, $field_type);<br />
    }<br />

    If above code is used, textareas will not show any contents although the data is still available on the database. If you modify the above code to only disable textareas, then textboxes will disappear.

    BBpress is modifying the code too much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I think so, but if I used an image smaller than 50×50…then it might also happen for small avatars. But I wouldn’t think people is going to do that.

    @takuya

    I think I found the cause of all the errors.

    If the original image is smaller than 150×150, then it produces the black areas within the result avatars.

    solution:

    a) we need a warning message the original is too small to generate avatar.

    or

    b) even if it’s smaller, the script should calculate and create a zoomed avatar, so the black areas are not generated.

    It’s only a few days ago since I started to debug changing avatars… ;)

    btw, I found this code within bp-xprofile-cssjs.php

    //wp_enqueue_script(‘jquery’);

    //wp_enqueue_script(‘prototype’);

    wp_enqueue_script(‘scriptaculous-root’);

    wp_enqueue_script(‘cropper’);

    add_action( ‘wp_head’, ‘bp_core_add_cropper_js’ );

    You say it’s jquery function, but above code comments out jquery and prototype as default. Perhaps this is the reason why?

    blog only displays posts of the root (admin blog).

    blogs is a directory of members’ blogs.

    There is similar thread, and I’ve seen the solution. Search for “member slug” or “member url” etc…

    following the thread Jeff posted…

    I used Burt\\\\\\\’s code. But it was lacking member directory and profile restriction, so here\\\\\\\’s the code I\\\\\\\’m using at moment.

    BP_ was missing before MEMBERS_SLUG on the original.

    function oci_restrict_access(){

    global $bp, $bp_unfiltered_uri;

    if (!is_user_logged_in() &&

    (BP_MEMBERS_SLUG == $bp_unfiltered_uri[0] && !empty( $bp->current_action ) ||

    BP_GROUPS_SLUG == $bp->current_component && !empty( $bp->current_action ))){

    bp_core_redirect( $bp->root_domain );

    }

    }

    add_action( \’wp\’, \’oci_restrict_access\’, 3 );

    But if firefox isn’t working, then it’s dead…u know what I’m saying :)

    But the original image is quite large, I mean it’s a website screen shot. If cropping works fine, then I should be able to create a full avatar from wherever the area of my picture. But as you see on the trac, there’s something wrong…

    Is this fixed on rc2?

    How about on your install, does this happen?

    @takuya

    Participant

    1. Will this affect other plugins? Do they have to be moved to /plugins/ too?

    2. Do I require to enable plugin per user? or just admin?

    3. Could you point me to list of bug fixes between rc1 and rc2, can’t find it…

    I don’t think there’s any opensocial plugin for wordpress series. If someone could develop an opensocial widget plugin, where users can include their favorite opensocial gadgets (do they call it, opensocial container?)…that would be great.
