In reply to: WordPress Connect ?
Could be done with openid plugin. If you use RPX, you can use your wordpress.com account to sign on to your wordpress/wpmu.
So to maintain the possibility of user blogs linked to user profiles, we should use wpmu. Got it, thanks DJPaul
In reply to: BuddyPress 1.2 and multilanguageThere’s a plugin available for bp (not yet for 1.2). It requires wp-multilingual.
In reply to: Getting reCaptcha to work with /register?I’ve seen a bp plugin, have you searched the directory, or search “buddypress” on wp.org’s plugin directory?
In reply to: Moderate membersPlugin page (on wp.org) says,
1.Upload the bp-registration-options folder to the plugins directory in your WPMU installation
2.Activate the plugin
3.Click on the “BP Registation Options” link under Settings.
4.Configure your BuddyPress registration options.
In reply to: Page not found, why?Write in detail when you ask for support. We can’t say anything until you guys tell us what versions of wpmu/buddypress, what plugins are activated…etc.
In reply to: Theme Design Cost ?Consider the cost for wordpress themes, as buddypress themes are wordpress themes. There are thousands of wordpress theme players around the world. Quick search on Google should give you some quotes.
You may need to add bit more ($100 – $500) to the quote you get for thanking designers to work for wordpress themes for buddypress.
In reply to: Wp-admin time outThis is BuddyPress centric forum, so if you are having wpmu problem, you should visit he forum at mu.wordpress.org as there’re more users than we have here on buddypress.org
Also please read and follow the step by step guide on asking question on forum.

We are happy to help, but without enough information we can’t.
In reply to: External BlogsSounds great Peter. I think you should create a new topic as this thread has too many messages.
In reply to: Group Twitter PluginIs this the power of group ext. from 1.1? I really hope such capability to come for profiles, too. Thanks for releasing this plugin Andy!
In reply to: Roadmap 1.2 / some features are not that urgentOnce there was a poll for all of us to vote for what we want by what release. Erich73, maybe you missed it. Roadmap is based on this community’s feedback. FYI.
In reply to: Activity CommentingGreat improvement to bp! I also like how groups and friends displayed on sidebar when viewing user profiles. Now that I won’t have to edit themes to accomplish this after 1.2.
In reply to: Which Plugins to Use for BP?Depends on what you want to do with the plugins.
Have you faced any conflicts by installing any plugins on your buddypress install? The answer starts from here.
In reply to: Can you multi-site BuddyPress?I have two installations of wpmu/buddypress, one for Japanese users and one for English users. For English users, I use the user tables of Japanese users. This requires both install to use the same database, but similar to what you want, perhaps.
In reply to: Non buddypress plugins on plugin directory.I’m talking about that list of bp only plugins. But in fact currently it lists all the wordpress plugins with “buddypress” tag, no matter if the plugin is really for buddypress or not (like Mingle for example).
This doesn’t require buddypress (should be posted on wpmu forum than here). Detailed methods should be available online, such as wpmututorials.com
You need to do the tasks seperately. First make a new user, second make the blog with the newly registered user’s mail address.
In reply to: Custom Password During RegistrationStop using old version, use new ones which supports that function you want.
In reply to: Anyone else working on integrating Gigya? My bp allows anyone to register with twitter, facebook, myspace, google, windowslive, openid, aol, blah, blah, blah with rpxnow plugin.
Did you activate BuddyPress? Then did you face any errors?
In reply to: Registration Emails Lack Enough InformationI suppose you are talking about those admin notice upon newly registered members of your site. BuddyPress doesn’t control this function, so you should post this question or search similar topics on wpmu forums.
In reply to: threaded comments?Settings>Discussion… this setting doesn’t have any relationship with BuddyPress.
Are you trying to accomplish threaded comments for blogs? If so, this forum is not the right place for support of wpmu.
Are you trying to make threaded comments for activity feeds? If so, your question should stay here.
In reply to: XML=RPC for iPhone Appbpdev is not being updated for a few months. I think Nicola’s been busy.
andrepan and levin, please also check out other multi byte issues. You two seem to be fluent in programming, perhaps you can solve them.

This post seems to be resolved, Mike.
In reply to: gzinflate error on upgradingLooks like you have the same error as:
https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/fatal-error-in-upgrade-to-112-113
Try manually updating bp files.
