In reply to: Status Updates on Page
Just that shortcode, it should just work, simple as pie, are you getting any errors? Do you have an error log running?
In reply to: Status Updates on Pagedid you install https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-profile-shortcodes-extra/ ? it should works with that installed
In reply to: Status Updates on PageBP Profile Shortcodes Extra has a shortcode [bpps_whats_new] for the activity What’s new form, you could put that shortcode into a text widget.
It sounds like you need to add a function that automatically clears down all the notifications for that content when the content is viewed by the user. There’s nothing built into BP to do that.
In reply to: Where is “next” button?I don’t get involved with multi-sites I’m afraid.
In reply to: message problemIf it was me I’d retrace the function that is producing that message and work back from it to find out what BP check is failing in order to understand what data BP is looking for, I’d then check the data stored in the DB to make sure it’s correct.
One thing you could try is to goto admin>>Tools>>BuddyPress and see if the DB fix tools supplied help.
In reply to: Profile Pages Getting 500 ErrorI don’t think they have a dedicated support team, maybe try the general WordPress forums?
In reply to: Automatic account activation link doesn’t workThe activition email that you are sending out has the link formatted exactly the same as I would expect. On my test system when I click that link it automatically populates the input box with the activation key, on your system is does not fill the input box and it needs to be manually pasted in place. Seems to point to something different about your activate.php file. I don’t suppose you’ve made changes to this, or maybe your theme has?
In reply to: message problemIt’s worth trying deleting BuddyPress and reinstalling, but this seems more db related. Basically BuddyPress thinks your users do not have the right privileges to view their messages.
In reply to: message problemIs this happening with all messages?
In reply to: Automatic account activation link doesn’t workTwo users have reported this, however I’m unable to replicate it. I’ll create an account on your site and see what the notice looks like.
In reply to: Add the email Lost Your Password in Admin Email ListYou might like to raise this as a feature request in trac?
In reply to: Comments link to BuddyPress activityI’m not exactly sure what you are asking. Are you looking for new video posts to create an activity update in BuddyPress?
In reply to: BUG: Activity dashboardYou should raise this as big on Trac
In reply to: Sitewide Notice WidgetI think you will need to raise this as a feature request on trac
In reply to: message problemI’m not able to replicate this, have you deactivated all other plugins to see if it’s a conflict?
In reply to: Errors being thrown from bp-groups – possible bug??I’m also getting this on my test system so it does look like a bug. do you want to raise it as an issue on Trac?
In reply to: Automatic account activation link doesn’t workThis must be this one https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/7894
In reply to: Activate page anchor rendering as plain texthttps://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/7894 Here’s the ticket for that.
In reply to: message problemYou need to provide more info – what steps can we take to recreate this error?
In reply to: shortcodes for buddypress – page layoutYou should raise this in the Shortcodes for BuddyPress support forum
In reply to: Notification and settings page don’t showHave you ruled out plugin or theme conflicts?
A plugin such as Nav Menu Roles will do that for you.
In reply to: how displayname on address barIt’s possible but not easily, this ticket talks about doing something like it:
In reply to: Base Profile Fields Error on Save ChangesYou might like to consider setting up a separate test system in order to better test your configurtion without messing with your live setup. It’s highly recommended for any critical WP install.
