In reply to: Profile & Cover Image NOT WORKING
Unfortunately we tend only to support the default themes here. All I can suggest is to check if you have got a template overload in wp-content/themes/mychildtheme/buddypress or /community if you’ve got any files in there I’d try removing them to see if they had any influence.
In reply to: Photos Prematurely PostSounds like an issue with your media software, you should ask the developer of that.
In reply to: Customize Latest News WidgetBuddyPress does not come with a Latest News widget??
In reply to: Can not create Groups, sort ofHave you tried deactivating all other plugin and seeing if that fixes it?
The first step is to raise it as an issue with the theme developer, theme compatibility kind of demands that they don’t switch of BuddyPress lol.
Are you sticking with the theme?
In reply to: Buddypress membership levels?I’m afraid not, but it gives you something that you could hang your own code off. I’m not up on paid membership plugins but have you looked at Paid Membership Pro? Something like that?
In reply to: Buddypress membership levels? There’s also this:
In reply to: Connecting the disconnected linkYou want to hide the Members menu item from non logged in users?
I use WPFront User Role Editor, that allows you to choose if menu items are displayed for non logged in members or not.
In reply to: Register Page Blank on Vanilla WP/BP InstallAh it’s pulled in the embed for those pages, that’s not helpful. Hope you got my meaning
In reply to: Register Page Blank on Vanilla WP/BP InstallIf I go to the link that you provided I do not get a register page:
http://slipbuddy.codeprimer.net/Register/
However if I click on the register link I get a register page:Seems like there two pages on your site, Register and register, register is linked to the registration page, not Register.
In reply to: [Resolved] BuddyPress EmailsHow did you remove them?
There’s an option in the Dashboard>>Tools>>BuddyPress to reset the emails, maybe give that a try?
In reply to: Register Page Blank on Vanilla WP/BP InstallI see you’ve fixed it.
In reply to: Refresh Users Submissions?I actually think that’s a WordPress issue, however, I can’t replicate your fault, so it must be a plugin conflict or similar that is causing this.
You could do this with a sidebar and a widget I think, you could use the BP Groups Widget in the default sidebar set to display that widget only on the Members page. That’s the quick fix, unless you are talking about running both the groups loop and the members loop on the same page or something.
In reply to: Activity forum in groupeYou need to be clearer in what you are asking for, within Groups all forum new topics and replies will show in the groups activity feed so I’m not sure what you are asking for.
In reply to: Members List limited to 50?Another more complex thing you could try, would be if you could find a way to output the total active user count. Some sort of snippet maybe?
In reply to: Members List limited to 50?One thing you could try is the BuddyPress Repair Tool. It’s located at Dashboard>>Tools>>BuddyPress. There’s a repair for total member count, not sure that it checks the active count though.
In reply to: Problems with menu to BuddyPressI’ve seen similar issues when a menu was no saved for the site, then all the main items end up being shown as top level. I don’t think in this case that is the case but it does seem to be an issue with the menus, not BuddyPress
In reply to: Activation link not clickableBy default it is clickable, so there must be something messing with the email creation. I’d unload all other plugins and switch to 2016 theme and then test.
In reply to: Problems with menu to BuddyPressIf you are a newbie you might like to check out my website – http//:buddyuser.com, it’s aimed at getting newbies up to speed.
Regarding your issue with menus, is this not a more general WordPress/Theme issue? What happens when you replace those BuddyPress Options with other options, do you still get the same behaviour?
In reply to: Buddy Press Changes ThemeSounds like a theme thing, I’m not an expert in theme things yet but my first port of call would be my theme developer to see if there were settings you could change to change that page. There’s probably at worst case a bit of custom CSS that you can add to your theme. Whilst BuddyPress may be calling that content it’s the theme that is delivering it and obviously a page still configured with the old settings.
In reply to: how to change @ mention nameSorry for the double post of the Username Changer Link, I skipped a post I think
In reply to: how to change @ mention nameI’m a bit uncertain about allowing users to change their Usernames, it means they lose connections with the past in so much as the activity table is static so the name does not change on past activity items and this throws some errors, also I think it may make the admin anti spam task harder, users posting stuff then changing their login name.
In reply to: how to change @ mention nameBuddyDev have a plugin that allows you to change the username – http://buddyuser.com/plugin-review-buddypress-username-changer
In reply to: Buddy Press Changes ThemeWhat sort of changes did you make?
