Hi @aethermage,
looks like a captcha question: what animal says miaw.
Do you use such a plugin or is your theme adding this ?In reply to: Registration Page not workinghi @whiskyharry,
it’s not a issue, it’s intended so.See here:
WordPress registration is explained here.
In reply to: Displaying a custom string only changeable by adminsThe problem when asking many question in different topics, is it lead to confusion.
As you exlained (later) here, you switched from WP symposium to BP… so asking you for plugin list was a first step. Now it’s clear… at least at your install level.
How and where are “developper” and “staff” items used/created ?
With xprofile field ? A plugin ?In reply to: Displaying a custom string only changeable by adminsPlease give details about your install, it’s unclear
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/when-asking-for-support-2/In reply to: White Lines Displaying On PagesAccording to another of your topics, you are using WP Symposium, which is another social network plugin for WordPress.
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/wp-symposium-vs-buddypress/
You can’t use both on a same site.In reply to: Displaying a custom string only changeable by adminsYou’ve better to ask this on WP Symposium support if you don’t know how to handle this or on bbPress support. You’re on BuddyPress support here !
In reply to: show entire activity stream – global activity streamit goes to my personal activity instead.
It’s intended so ! You’re on a profile page, and any links added directly to buddybar or his subnav is alwways, and only, user related. It’s a contextual menu.
But you can use
bp_member_options_navaction hook which is on the template.
bp-templates/bp-legacy/buddypress/members/single/home.phpAdd this snippet to bp-custom.php your your child theme functions.php:
function goldwin_custom_setup_nav() { if ( bp_is_active( 'xprofile' ) ) ?> <li><a href="<?php bp_activity_directory_permalink(); ?>"><?php printf ('All Activities'); ?></a></li> <?php } add_action( 'bp_member_options_nav', 'goldwin_custom_setup_nav' );By default, the hook is placed as latest item of the navbar items. To get as first item, simply move the action at the begin of the list.
Default code looks like this:
<ul> <?php bp_get_displayed_user_nav(); ?> <?php do_action( 'bp_member_options_nav' ); ?> </ul>that you can chage to:
<ul> <?php do_action( 'bp_member_options_nav' ); ?> <?php bp_get_displayed_user_nav(); ?> </ul>But you can’t get your custom item as second, or third, or whatever. Only first or latest.
How to use bp-custom, functions.php and child_theme is explained on the codex.
In reply to: White Lines Displaying On PagesHi,
have you tested with one of WP default theme ?
And what if you use the original Divi theme, without custom CSS ?
As you use a premium theme, you have to ask on their support. We have no access to his code here.In reply to: TraslateCiao @merlin_andrea,
file name must be
buddypress-it_IT.mo.In reply to: How to Center Avatar and Tabs on Profile PageHave you tested with 2015 theme ? Does @mention appear near profile avatar ?
If it does, ask on your (premium) theme support.
In reply to: How can I change the Cropping size in profile page?Searching for code needs a correct search tool. Use Notepad++ and you’ll find 48 occurence to
avatar-crop-pane!
The first of them is in buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-cssjs.php
Another one is in buddypress\bp-core\css\avatar.cssBut you haven’t to hack core files. All you have to do is to create a child theme from where you can adjust CSS to your need.
Codex is your friend ! If you accept to read…
In reply to: How to Center Avatar and Tabs on Profile PageOK, let’s try differently.
#buddypress #item-header { border: solid 1px red!important; background-color: yellow!important; } #buddypress #item-header-avatar { border: solid 2px black!important; height: 150px!important; width: 150px!important; margin: auto!important; } #buddypress #item-header-content { border: solid 1px blue!important; background-color: green!important; }On the right of the avatar, there are by default some additionnal information: @username and latest activity date/time.
This is in the div item-header-content and span tags. You probably changed that with a display:none, but it’s still in source code…The div
item-header-avatarmust fit to your avatar width and height. Here 150px, but depends of your own settings. All is colored so you can “see” what’s going on.
In reply to: Woocommerce profile and Buddypress profile mergehi @thepofo,

In reply to: How can I change the Cropping size in profile page? The cropper fits automatically to the defined width and height.
The idea behind these functionality is to adjust an image, not the cropper. If you fix 20 px, the tool will crop to 20. If you fix 600p, the tool will crop to 600.
Also, the BP cropper is only used for profile, group and blog photo. Avatar default size is 50px, rarely over 150.In reply to: Activation link doesn’t workhi @nnc24,
you have to read and to debug. As first test, activate 2015 theme and deactivate any plugin but BP. Put debug mode on true in wp-config during your test.

Hi @rameden,
in hope you are already familiar with Genesis framework. If not, i don’t recommend it, because starting with a framework (even if very good) is not easy, and adding another point where you also begin is not the best way… to learn. 😉
The answer to your question is :
child/css/buddypress.css/, but you can also use child/style.cssIf you want to modify BP templates, then you copy the needed file from legacy/buddypress/ to child/buddypress/…./
/bp-templates/bp-legacy/ belongs to BP.
In reply to: Allow Empty “What’s New” Activity UpdatePlease use code button when you post code. Thxs.
In reply to: Buddypress & YOOthemehi @electrolove,
mostly it’s the theme who doesn’t work with BuddyPress. Actually, BP is working with almost any avaible theme, under condition this thme is respecting WP’s coding standart.
Unfortunatly, your theme is a mix for joomla and wordpress… May work with a WP blog, but i doubt for BP as it doesn’t exactly use the basic page system. And if your theme wasn’t recently updated, it could be a mess to adapt.
They are so many theme that you can choose another one in case of trouble. Why loosing your time with one who doesn’t work, when you can find hundred’s of others in the same time ?
Anyway, ask on theme support, you paid for that. Here we can’t help you, as we have no access to the code.
