I’m using the buddypress packaged theme
I think droid app use has exceeded iphone now.
Wouldnt your app need to be specific to the buddypress install?
There are so many plugin variations I cant see how you could satisfy them all.
But yes, I’d love to see it.
How is it doing?I fixed this and feel a real noob for not looking further.
(went to forum setup and it required to be setup again)hey thanks mercime.
Am I correct in saying that I could run the multiple buddypress sites without your plugin, but it would post all activity across all the sites for every user?@smiranda there is a backend group management plugin that Admins can use to physically put members into groups
I tried to setup an evet in a group on your test site.
It seemed to work, but when I went back to look at the event in the test group, when I clicked on the events tab in the group, it just returned me to your test websites homepage.Great plugin!
What I have found though is that it appears to be made to work with BP Group EMail Subscriptions and that from the super admin page you should be able to edit users within a group and change their e-mail subscription setups.
This does not seem to be working for me.
WPMU 3.0 and BP 1.2.5.2
Any help please? You can go in manually into the wp-blogs database and mark the blog it creates as mature or not public. Both settings should remove any mention of the blog from any public listing. (maybe?)
this is a great question that needs a good answer, you have me questioning the plugin now

So with reference to the last entry on this link https://trac.buddypress.org/ticket/2207
Has anyone managed to use uppercase usernames?
Is it possible to edit the options on the Admin bar ?
further investigation says that this is not the reason.
I have group blogs installed aswell and after this (stage 3) in the group setup, it return to step 1.
The group had been created and the forum was working.ok – it’s because there is a problem with the forum setup.
at stage 2 (settings) there is the forum setup.
My buddypress does not seem to be making forums correctly and so is causing this problem in the group setup.
If I tru to creat a topic in an a group, it saysThere was an error when creating the topic
If you know why, please let me know.
hello
stage 1 = details
stage 2 = settings
then I thought it was because of bp group blog, but I disbled that and tried again and the same thing happened.I wrorte about an issue here

to clarify, the ajax chat box keeps popping up in group chat in new pages created by group extension plugins eg: links, albums etc
Group pages like activity or forums it stays out of the way unless called upon.Any ideas?
I’ve seen a number of forums on this plugin on various sites and I’m not sure if it’s supported anymore.
I tried it and failed to get it going.
I’m not sure if Giovanni may have given up on it, as he doesn’t seem to have replied on any posts in a long time.
I hope he’s ok!I think live view means is there a share within the buddypress site.
So if I saw something that interested me on somone elses stream, I could click share and add their comment to my stream (and tell my buddypress world that I took it from someone else.)
I’m not sure he wants to share it on facebook.right/or worng?
I’m still having the problem and haven’t been able to fix it.
If anyone can put me on the path to recovery it would be greatly appreciated.Genius!
As said: I deleted all groups, setup a group and created a forum post before anything else and it worked first time.
Pisanojm, thank you VERY much!Could someone please help me, the forum just isn’t doing anything.
I got to forums setup and setup a new install and it says that it completed sucessfully and settings are saved to my bb-config.php but the forum just does nothing.
I enter a new topic and click post and it goes back to the start with no post, no error, no nothing. You know I thought that with other test installs that I’ve done and I’ve done that forum install from the dashboard many different ways and everytime that I try to make a forum post and click post, it goes back to the virgin forum it always was to start with.
what am i doing wrong?
any help please
there was one thing that needed the dir for my install specified in the htaccess.
In the one that was working it was there, in the one that wasn’t working, it wasn’t.
Thank you Chouf1
resolved – when I created the database I used a name other than Admin.
I removed the install, re-ran the simple script with an Admin login and it worked
