Thanks for the ping @johnjamesjacoby. I’ve open a ticket with a patch about it. @alexmangini don’t hesitate to test it. By the way we don’t use Git but SVN for BuddyPress code. If you want to dive into BuddyPress code contribution, I advise you to read this tutorial to get started quickly 😉

@johnjamesjacoby This specific error has already been fixed in BuddyPress trunk a couple weeks ago (I don’t have the changeset number to hand). netweb fixed an identical problem in bbPress a couple of months ago: https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/6113/trunk

This is WordPress’ default setting /wp-admin/options-discussion.php and I tend to agree, 2 seems quite reasonable.

Sorry to here this @johnjamesjacoby it is a real shame that these measures need to be taken…but I also would not want to be the one with the task of deleting hundreds of automated spam pages either so I support this choice 100 percent. Thanks for the heads up!

Hi Hugo! Yes the plugin was listed at the top of the plugins page here for many months. You are precise that the plugin was not BP related. The author had tagged it buddypress in the readme.txt and any time a BP relatated plugin author would release a legitimate new release plugin, then the author of AtContent would manipulate the plugins…[Read more]
