Btw which plugin ‘got it crashing all the time’?@frisch11 Please change theme to Twenty Fourteen/Thirteen to check if issue is resolved. If it is, then contact theme author about the issue.
In reply to: white screen after deactivating Buddypress@ariane1001
– Did you add bp-custom.php to your plugins folder in server? Rename it to deactivate that
– Did you add any BP-specific plugins in your mu-plugins folder? Rename mu-plugins directory to deactivate.
– Finally, if you were using a theme other than one of the WP default themes, then rename your active theme’s folder in server. In reply to: Who's Online Widget and Members Widget Not WorkingHi, iām using buddypress 2.01 on wordperss 3.9.1 multisite
@kaisarandretiyahoocom Sorry that you’re having this issue. Some questions
Did you activate BuddyPress Network-wide? Or did you just activate it in one site => main site or in subsite only using
define ( 'BP_ROOT_BLOG', xx );in your wp-config.php file?In reply to: [Resolved] Admin Bar in Mobile View@guoyunhebrave I see the translated links in admin bar for logged out visitors using Firefox and Chrome. Marking this as resolved.
In reply to: [Resolved] Temporary username and one-time changeone-time username change from the admin area for users after their first login?
@pixieblitz I used http://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-username-changer/ last year. Back up DB and check if it works for current BP version or post at developer’s forums.
On another note, https://wordpress.org/plugins/username-changer/ will allow the site/super admin to change the username of each user from wp-admin area instead of diving into DB.In reply to: [Resolved] /settings/profile is empty?@godavid33 looks the same as the xprofile field visibility settings at your Settings > Profile page here at BPorg
In reply to: [Resolved] /settings/profile is empty?Strange. Is this a new installation or a recently updated one? WP/BP versions? Have you done some basic troubleshooting?
In reply to: [Resolved] Login Widget – Changing layout@archikins you only need to add changes in your theme’s or child theme’s
style.cssfile. Something like styles below. Adjust to taste.#bp-login-form label, #bp-login-form input { float: left; margin-right: 10px; } #bp-login-form input { margin-right: 20px; } div.forgetmenot { display: inline; }@envieme WP/BP versions? What’s the name of the theme activated in your dashboard menu > Appearahce > Themes? I have to ask again because new installations do not get the BP Default Theme served in the Appearance > Themes panel. (continued from WP Forums)
Thanks Dan.
EDIT – Discussion continued and issued resolved at WPorg forums.
In reply to: [Resolved] The member pages are missing@johnhome glad you have a working BP install using XAMPP.
@zvi18 I would suggest that you start off by checking out BuddyPress Documentation https://codex.buddypress.org/ and explore the features https://codex.buddypress.org/buddypress-components-and-features/ Try it out first locally by installing https://make.wordpress.org/core/handbook/installing-a-local-server/installing-xampp/
In reply to: Buddypress registrationclosing this old topic guillaumes, as you have resolved this issue at https://buddypress.org/support/topic/change-text-after-user-registration/

In reply to: Bulk mark new notifications as Read@style960 it’s currently slated for BP 2.1 https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/5513
In reply to: [Resolved] The member pages are missing@johnhome That is so strange. Sanity checks re xampp installation:
1. The only plugin you’ve activated is BuddyPress and you are using the Twenty Fourteen theme, correct?
2. Your WP version is 3.9.1 and BP version is 2.0.1 (not the 2.0 mentioned above)?
3. Missing pages only happening in individual member pages, i.e. Members Directory page is working and are the Groups Directory and individual Group pages?
4. To make sure that BP download is not corrupted, could you check if the members files and folders/files within as seen here https://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/buddypress/tags/2.0.1/bp-templates/bp-legacy/buddypress/members/single/ are also in your xampp htdocs/yourfoldername/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-templates/bp-legacy/buddypress/members/single/ folderIn reply to: Noob Question – How to Import Users as Members?@stevedimmick back up your database, then try this https://github.com/hnla/force-show-bp-users/blob/master/force-show-bp-users.php Er, how many do you mean by “loads of users”?
In reply to: Updated to 2.0.1 and lost member count@tnybo24 Have not seen this happen. Have you done any basic troubleshooting https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/troubleshooting/ If you have and the issue persists, please provide more information about your installation https://buddypress.org/support/topic/when-asking-for-support-2/

In reply to: [Resolved] CHange text after user registration@guillaumes yes š
In reply to: [Resolved] The member pages are missing@johnhome Thanks. Have you resolved your issue? If not, are you using WAMP OR XAMPP? I’ve only used XAMPP in windows machines and they’re working pretty well. Also, have you tried clearing browser caches?
In reply to: [Resolved] CHange text after user registration@guillaumes I had a similar issue 4 years ago and resolved it with 2nd recommendation which would be the optimal solution in your case as well https://buddypress.org/support/topic/override-intro-text-function-in-create-blog-directory-page/
