In reply to: Can BP do these?
@jedsilvestre something like http://plazaa.de/ which is custom-made solution
In reply to: [Resolved] User ProfileGreat. Marking this as resolved 🙂
In reply to: Says 'sign up complete' but users can't registerbut as soon as i turn it into a multi-site, new registrations via buddypress don’t work.
@alimjivraj
– Did you activate BuddyPress via Network Admin > Plugins activate BuddyPress?
– Did you configure BuddyPress in a subsite instead of the main site?
– What other plugins do you have activated? Did you check whether anyone of those plugins have conflict with BP registration?
– What are your WP/BP versions? In reply to: Register page doesnt appearAn when i call the register page from the backend always redirect me to the front page
That’s default behavior when you visit the register page when you’re logged in Log our first.
In reply to: [Resolved] User Profile@wrsantiago put profiles in the root https://codex.buddypress.org/developer/customizing/changing-internal-configuration-settings/
In reply to: Need Help@mdg706 please do not offer to give admin account information in these forums. We won’t be responsible if someone hacks your site.
– Did you go through this information before activating BP in your site? https://codex.buddypress.org/user/before-installing/
– Have you asked tech support at your hosting provider if your current hosting plan can handle BuddyPress? Some would ask you to upgrade your hosting plan before you can activate BuddyPress.@julianwagner if you want all your BuddyPress pages to be full-width, the simplest and only thing you have to do (save probably some minor CSS tweaks) is to create a new file named buddypress.php
Then open up your theme full-width template then copy all code within. Paste the code into your buddypress.php file (remove Template: xxxxx) then upload buddypress.php to your theme’s folder in server.
In reply to: No Admin BAR HELP@doqel1 like I said, I see the WP toolbar. Just so we’re on the same page, that WP toolbar is the bar at the top with Login, Register links and the search form.
In reply to: non-mod/admin of a group can't see contents@rairai-ni have you tried reuploading BuddyPress manually i.e. via FTP? Have you double-checked your Settings > BuddyPress panels and resaved settings?
In reply to: No Admin BAR HELP@doqel1 please calm down.
but I also can no longer see the REGULAR WP admin bar that normally appears at the top of the page
I can see the WP toolbar in your site. Clear browser cache/cookies.
One second I’m re-arranging top bar menu and NOW IT HAS COMPLETELY DISAPPEARED!
I can see the following in the menu above your site title:
TARRPS STATUS STREAM – Network MEMBERS – Network GROUPS – Network REGISTRATIONIn reply to: No Admin BAR HELP@doqel1 your link just goes to Bluehost’s default splash page.
In reply to: Can't change overall font in rtl default themethere are choices already selected even none of them is set as default, should I report this in buddypress trac
@cupid4 there was a trac ticket posted about same issue but was resolved last year https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4362
all the problems started since moving bp-default off the themes folder and putting it in buddyporess folder.
The bp-default theme folder should be left as is in the wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/ folder and not moved to wp-content/themes/ folder
In reply to: Widgets Not Displaying on BuddyPress Pages@producist try reuploading BuddyPress manually i.e., via FTP.
BP 1.8.1 issue “widgets are no longer displayed on BuddyPress pages”
Specifically, which widgets are not showing up? BuddyPress widgets or WordPress default widgets or another plugin’s widgets?
What theme are you using? In reply to: Change css of "nav-wrap" on front/home page only?@joelebeau hard to guess. site url?
In reply to: Groups Activity RSS Feed Broken@akukskuks WP/BP versions? What theme are you using? What plugins are installed?
In reply to: Registration email not being sentThe server/ISP that my client is on has been blacklisted by barracuda and a few other spam services.
@wyldesites where is/was your client hosted?
In reply to: non-mod/admin of a group can't see contents@rairai-ni What other plugins do you have activated in your site? Check if those are compatible with latest BP version. If not, deactivate those plugins and check if members of private group can see group’s contents.
In reply to: Cannot see Members or Activity after 1.8.1 upgrade@psound change theme to Twenty Twelve to check if Members/Activity components are working. Could very well be that you need to update your theme.
In reply to: Registrations don't workBP Codex – Add to list of things to do. Check.
In reply to: Registration page not working@mthome then you have to go to dashboard menu Settings > General and allow registrations if you so choose 🙂
In reply to: Registrations don't work@speedysnail6 deactivate BuddyPress and change to Twenty Twelve theme, then check if registration works. Where are you hosted?
@barronlau “Blog Details: I’d like to add new site” shows up for multisite installations if you did not remove that option for a user to create a blog in your site.
Go to My Sites > Network Admin > Dashboard. Then go to Settings > Network Settings –> Registration Settings, then only choose User accounts may be registered.
To customize what’s going to show up on your registration https://codex.buddypress.org/user/buddypress-components-and-features/extended-profiles/
In reply to: Registration page not workingIn reply to: Registration email not being sent@wyldesites I just set up a new installation WP 3.6 and BP 1.8.1 and registration with activation email is working.
– Check server email configuration – if you deactivate BuddyPress, does the registration process work for you? Where are you hosted?
– Deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress and change to Twenty Twelve theme. If all’s well, then activate theme. If user can register, then could be one of the plugins. Activate plugins batch by batch while testing to check which is interfering with registration/activation.
In reply to: Can't change overall font in rtl default theme@cupid4 missed some lines, sorry. See updated version in my post above
