In reply to: not listing information
@jonesstl not sure where you’re trying to place that code, you might want to check out https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-facebook-style-friend-lists/
In reply to: bp_member_header_action@jonesstl Can only guess = duplicate js files enqueued in an old BP or BP-compatible theme which has not been updated for current BP version? Please provide more information about your installation – BP/WP versions, theme used, plugins activated, and better yet, a site url
In reply to: Group page issues@fatspell I presume the issue occurs when you’re logged in. You could paste the source code of your theme’s page.php file in pastebin.com and post the generated url here. I can only guess that the template tag used for the page title is a theme-specific code and not the_title, is it?
In reply to: Having links back to profile pages@zeallous not sure if formidable pro plugin has integrated compatibility with BuddyPress. As for Gravity Forms, please check their forums for integration with BuddyPress.
@samuelrh it would help if you provided more information about your own installation. Did you enable group creation in Settings > BuddyPress > Settings so that anyone can create a group?

Help us help you by creating a new topic of your own and providing us more information about your installations – single WP/WPMS, theme used, plugins used, etc. or did you check if registration process is working in your WP install if BuddyPress is deactivated?

It would be helpful to those who want to assist you if you provide more information about your installation as well.
In reply to: show the profile of the post author using worpress@marcelyano Are you on single WP or WP Multisite with BP installed? It all depends on the theme you’re using.
In reply to: How to make announcement and wall post in group?1. @jeffp808 What announcement plugin are you using? Did you check if it’s been updated for or compatible with current BP version?
2. What theme are you using? If you change to BP Default theme, there’s a status update box in the group’s home page (activity) where members can post updates.
In reply to: Problem activating BuddyPress on localhost – WAMPHaven’t used WAMP for a long while (XAMPP is tops) … You mentioned you have pretty permalinks working in WAMP. Was that before you activated BuddyPress or after? Btw, if you have SKYPE installed, you have to go through an extra step.
In reply to: [Resolved] Need activation key???@stuartjbray check this out https://wordpress.org/plugins/unconfirmed/
In reply to: Subdomain Blog Posts Not ShowingLooks like you were able to resolve the issue per my visit to your site. Glad you resolved the issue.
In reply to: hide members@famous You can limit who views the members directory page to the Site/Super Admin only by surrounding the members directory section using is_super_admin https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/is_super_admin then either echo message that the section is restricted or just redirect non-Admin users to another page if visitors try to use the members slug in your site.
@afjsystem confirming issue exists. There’s a trac ticket for this https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/5105
In reply to: New to buddypress – got lots of questions š@fideldonson no problem
Backup all tables in site’s database and you’re fine. But also check if there’s a bp-custom.php file in wp-content/plugins/ in server, and back that up if there’s one.
You can remove the status update box in different ways. It just depends on whether you’re using a WordPress theme or BP Default child theme.
In reply to: How To Change Menu Links To ButtonIn reply to: Random Wish/Idea for Buddypress@valuser better to post this in BP Trac. Not sure that this would be added to core though. It’d be up to the devs. Just curious, BP Activity Plus plugin is not working for you?
What theme are you using?
In reply to: Updating Avatar Page TextIn reply to: There are Pictures in BuddyPress UI@testamann first time I’ve seen that bug. Change to Twenty Twelve or BP Default theme and check if same issue shows up.
In reply to: Group forum tab is vanishedAs a result of that group forum tab was vanished.
@chathuranga Not seeing this issue. Is this a new WP/BP installation or are your group forums created in BP version earlier than 1.6? What other plugins do you have installed?
