5 days agoIn reply to: Divi Compatibility?@serfma They posted a walk-through about setting up BuddyPress last year using the Divi 2.0 theme at http://www.elegantthemes.com/blog/tips-tricks/an-introduction-to-buddypress Check with them though if current Divi version is compatible with latest BuddyPress version.
@alezzzzz go to Settings > General and uncheck that you or the admin placed in “Membership — Anyone can register”.
@vinzen I was initially able to confirm the issue reported by the lady in the original post. However, upon consultation with another developer, testing in another laptop, and restarting the other laptop I used to test the issue, the result is that one can open the file selection box using keyboard navigation.
Could you please ask her to restart computer/clear caches and check again? She can open the image file selection box using the
Enterkey or theSpace bar.If the above don’t resolve the issue, can she give us more information about: the browser/s she is using, PC/Mac, other assistive technology used, etc., and on your end, it would help us to know what theme and plugins you have installed in your site.
If you find any more issues, please let us know.
In reply to: Error 404 on all components of buddypress@jdc2018 Have you set the WordPress admin panel > Settings > Permalinks to a configuration other than the default configuration. mod_rewrite must be enabled on your server for pretty permalinks to work.
If changing permalinks doesn’t work: WP/BP versions? What theme are you using? What other plugins are activated in your site? Where are you hosted?
@vinzen We apologize for the inconvenience to the lady and yourself. We try to follow accessibility guidelines and unfortunately some items fell through the cracks per our recent automated audits on the frontend and backend screens. The manual accessibility audits were to be done after the tickets above were fixed. Please be assured that we’ll let you know how to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Thank you for reporting the issue and for your patience.
In reply to: Beginner’s Problem@sebastianpierre BuddyPress is compatible with nearly all WordPress themes out of the box. I am assuming that you’re on the latest WordPress and BuddyPress verions. Change theme to either Twenty Fifteen or Twenty Fourteen, check if all the BP pages are showing up as expected. If it is, then double-check that you have the_title and the_content template tags in your custom theme’s page.php file.
bp-template-pack files in my root folder
Just to be clear, if you’re referring to this plugin https://github.com/boonebgorges/bp-template-pack then I suggest that you deactivate it and remove the folder/files you moved to your theme folder. If you’re referring to the bp-legacy files then I suggest that you resolve the issue of BP pages showing up in your theme first before doing any kind of customization.
In reply to: After RegistertionSomething may be getting lost in translation, but if you mean you want the user who has just logged in to be redirected to his/her profile, then check out https://wordpress.org/plugins/bp-redirect-to-profile/
In reply to: BP Pages Have No Content@dptashny BuddyPress requires “pretty permalinks” and not those almost pretty permalinks where you add index.php after your domain name — a “quick fix” for sites hosted in Windows servers but will not work for BuddyPress sites. Where are you hosted? If this is a new account, best thing to do is move to Linux hosting ASAP.
Having said that, there are tutorials on how to reconfigure your IIS settings to generate the pretty permalinks, but there are different strokes for different IIS versions and you would need access to the server. Have you tried contacted support staff of your hosting provider to assist you or if they are familiar with WP pretty permalinks?
In reply to: unable activity@kiwonuhm WP/BP versions? Where are you hosted? etc.
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/when-asking-for-support-2/> there is basic info displayed and all-in-all it doesn’t look horrible…but it is no ok.
@mariofrombelgium Don’t know what kind of theme you chose. But you can create a buddypress.php file in the root of your theme. Convert the page.php to includethe_titleandthe_contenttags and that’s what you add to buddypress.php.@minglonaire not sure what plugin you used which has shady contact links but the one from BuddyDev.com doesn’t have those
http://buddydev.com/plugins/bp-signup-avatar/ with info in blog postIn reply to: Buddypress post problem@ashket That could be related to a theme or a plugin issue because that’s not normal at all. What are your WP/BP versions for that installation? If you change to Twenty Fifteen theme and deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress, is the issue you reported resolved?
In reply to: [Resolved] cannot change profile photo>>> when you say the source code of my webpage, I am uncertain what other files to look in
@rebekahmeuir I mean when you’re viewing your website in the browser, right click to bring up menu and then go to View Source or View Page Source, depends on the browser you’re using. Then look for something like this: `http://yoursite.com/wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.11.2 in the source code.In reply to: [Resolved] Crop Image not working@loralai great! Marking this as resolved.
In reply to: [Resolved] cannot change profile photo@rebekahmeuir Just helped someone who had an issue with cropping the image as well. The issue there was that the jQuery files needed were not enqueued for some reason. Could you check the source code of your webpage and see something like this is in the source ….jcrop/jquery.Jcrop.min.js?ver=0.9.12 ?
In reply to: [Resolved] Crop Image not working@loralai I looked at the source code and jQuery files are missing. Aside from which, there are two versions of the CSS from BuddyPress, the regular one and the minified one, and the same goes for the JS from BuddyPress, one minified and the other is not.
Open up your theme’s
header.phpfile and make sure that<?php wp_head(); ?>is placed immediately before the closing</head>in your theme. Remove the hard-coded BuddyPress stylesheets and JavaScript files (if you did hard code those in your theme). In reply to: [Resolved] cannot change profile photo@rebekahmeuir
Double-checked and found out I was using WP_DEBUG and SCRIPT_DEBUG in the wp-config.php file of my test installation which was why I was getting the error message. Removed both and it was cleared. Could you check if you have any of those two in your wp-config.php file?In reply to: [Resolved] cannot change profile photo@rebekahmeuir
I was able to replicate the issue using WP 4.2.2 and BP 2.2.3.1. Going to create a ticket in BuddyPress trac and post the link here.In reply to: [Resolved] Crop Image not working@loralai Could you please provide more information about your installation like:
– WP/BP versions?
– Where are you hosted?
– If you change to the WP Default Theme and deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress, can you crop the image then?@minglonaire Depends on what theme you’re using? You can always apply the CSS used for the member’s directory list to that of the group member’s list by using browser’s developer tools in Firefox, Chrome, and in latest Internet Explorer.
@minglonaire have you tried this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/buddypress-login-redirect/
In reply to: How to hide admin from group members directory? In reply to: [Resolved] cannot change profile photo@rebekahmeuir Deactivate plugins except BuddyPress and change to the Twenty Fifteen theme. Then go to admin dashboard and navigate to Media > Add New. Can you upload images and see the thumbnails of the images you uploaded there?
In reply to: Buddy bar not displaying> When i login as a user the buddy bar does not display at all.
@fugu78 BP/WP versions? Have you tried deactivating plugins except BuddyPress to check if issue is resolved i.e., plugin conflict?
