Looks great – I already tried it in a testinstall! When the theming for 1.1 is fixed it will be even better.

Some ideas (don’t know if that is possible with Kaltura):

– New media will be logged in the activity-stream (I think it’s important to draw people…)

– Media also available in groups

– Admins can choose which upload-options are available (for my case, I would only want upload and webcam, because the other “providers” have sometimes adult-stuff on them – not very good for a site for young-people)

-other stuff was already mentioned… (comments, etc)

But over all: It looks VERY promising and I look forward to it!!!

No one experiencing this? I don’t give up !

[@miguael Participant 16 years, 11 months ago]

I just tested it. It works more or less ok. The theming doesn’t work properly under BP 1.1.2., but the Rest seems ok. It would be great, if in a future release it would actually add to the activity-stream when I add video/audio/photo.

But I would also say: wait – and see…

Andy, since your on the move in the forums – do you know what could be the reason for that (your plugin)?

[@miguael Participant 16 years, 11 months ago]

Thanks for the hint, Andy, but I tried that one (i remembered from older upgrades)

I just did it again, but still the error occurs…

[@miguael Participant 16 years, 11 months ago]

Hmmmm – nobody else having this issue? I am having the exact same issues on two different installs… One subdomain and one subdirectories…

It’s pretty much a blocker, so I would welcome any more help!

Thanx already!

Hi Jeff

so I am back and I tried your suggestion:

1. Deleted the old bb-tables

2. Deleted the new wp_bb tables

3. Deleted the old BB Install

4. Reintegrated the forum install (did it again)

BUT still does not work.

Posting in new groups that didn’t have the old forums activated works

Psoting in older groups that had the old forum activated still does NOT work

Any more ideas???

[@miguael Participant 16 years, 12 months ago]

thanks – I will try that, after I am back from vacation … I will report then…

[@miguael Participant 16 years, 12 months ago]

I have a german version, but I try to translate:

There was an error posting your topic

(a red “singn” above the title of the group…)

I really need a solution to this? Can anyone help me and tell me what exactly I need to do?

1. I do not need the old content . I deleted the old BBPress Installation

2. I need to work the new (“one-click”) forum to work in old groups, where the old forum was activated

What can I do?

THANX

Just a hint for others, that go almost crazy upgrading: I forgot, that I had in Plugins-Directory the a bp-custom.php file. Deleting that, did the trick…

[@miguael Participant 17 years ago]

Hmmmm – what should that code do for me? The missing avatars in groups are still missing… But maybe I am missing the point here. Can someone point me in the right direction?

[@miguael Participant 17 years ago]

GREAT!!! THANKS!

[@miguael Participant 17 years ago]

No Coder-Gurus around to give a Greenhorn a enlightement?

[@miguael Participant 17 years ago]

Nobody having a simple fix for this?

[@miguael Participant 17 years ago]

Thanks for the hint. I am trying it with a very much updated feed already and it does not refresh every 12 hours… Only when I go manually to the group (or somebody else), then it fetches the feed and makes the activity entries…

Any more ideas…?

[@miguael Participant 17 years ago]

What do you mean by “Play”… sorry, I am not much of a coder… I do not need the old content, but I need the forums to work in old groups. Would be great, if you could give me a step by step guide (if that is not asking too much)

Thanks already!

[@miguael Participant 17 years ago]

anyone having the same issue?

[@miguael Participant 17 years ago]

Any ideas, why that could be? It is kind of a bad-bug for me, because we cannot delete and re-create all of the old groups…

Thanks for your help!

[@miguael Participant 17 years ago]

Thanks for the hint DJPaul –

so, any ideas how to accomplish that?

[@miguael Participant 17 years ago]

yep – please…! Put it in the activity stream…

[@miguael Participant 17 years ago]

Another little bug – maybe attached to that one: I just posted a topic (in a newer group) and then it got also published in another older group… strange…

[@miguael Participant 17 years ago]

Any news on this one? Would be handy, not to do it one by one…

Thanks

I ended up using this plugin and I am really happy with it: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-mu-sitewide-tags/

Tags, Categories and search (if you want to) – works great!

For a christian site, I don’t know about THAT advertisements…
