In reply to: Register & Profile Fields not showing or working
I notice the registration form does not ask for the BuddyPress username, only the WordPress username. have you changed anything from the default to make it this way? That login does not seem to work.
In reply to: profile picturesMaybe Mediapress? There is an add on for this that allows users to manage their profile pictures based on their uploaded images. ‘i’ve not checked but RTMedia will probably allow the same.
You can post jobs here: https://buddypress.org/support/forum/plugin-forums/bp-jobs-board/
In reply to: PM SpamA potential fix for this is here: https://github.com/r-a-y/bp-pms-for-friends
It means normal users can only PM people they have friended first, so stops mass PMs
In reply to: Register & Profile Fields not showing or workingWould you have a site url I could look at? Are you running any additional plugins? what’s your theme?
In reply to: Embed GroupsAn alternative would be to use the BuddyPress Extended User Groups Widget from BuddyDev to display groups the user is admin of, then use something like Shortcode any Widget to display it in the page content. Not quite what you are looking for but simpler if you don’t feel up to coding.
In reply to: Allow all members to be friends on sign upPossibly you could look at the BuddyPress Automatic Friends plugin and use that as a basis for your plugin?
In reply to: Edit fields in members directoryTo my knowledge the default bp plugin does not include these fields in the members loop, are these being added by a plugin or did you customise the members loop?
In reply to: mediapress gallery cannot be setYou should raise this with the Mediapress forum on BuddyDev.com
In reply to: mediapress uploads not showing on siteYou should raise this with the Mediapress forum on BuddyDev.com
In reply to: can’t reinstall buddypress after uninstalling itYes, I’m wondering if it’s getting deleted properly.
Another thing, last time I had something like this I’d hit a limit from my hosting provider, but it was affecting all plugins I was trying to install. Still it’s something to look at since ovbiously WordPress is struggling to create the file.
In reply to: can’t reinstall buddypress after uninstalling itAre you able to check in your plugins directory to make sure the BuddyPress directory has been deleted?
In reply to: How to edit Registration Denied email?Scrap that last comment. BP Registration Options allows you to edit the email content you are looking for.
In reply to: Create Group not showing upTake a look at this Trac ticket https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/7673
In reply to: How to edit Registration Denied email? The registration denied email I think is actually a WordPress email that is also used by BuddyPress. There’s a premium plugin that allows you to edit these system emails, but I’ve not been able to find if it allows you to edit the registration denied email, yu’d need to ask the plugin developers. the plugin is All in One Email for WordPress. That might be able to do what you are looking for.
I’m not sure there is a supported plugin left that provides this feature. Wanguard used to be my goto for this feature, but this is no longer supported though it still works, so you could use that. The other plugin is BP Moderation but this too is no longer supported it seems and throws errors.
In reply to: Unlink bbPress Board from BuddyPress GroupI don’t really understand what you are saying. I tried to recreate what you did but I could not follow exactly what you meant. You should be able to configure this t correct the issue.
Did you create a “Group Forms” category to hold all of your group forums separate from the other forums? if that the parent board you are talking about? If so you should be able to change that in the Dashboard>>Forums page.

In reply to: Problem with edit pageDid you try resetting your permalinks?
In reply to: Forum topics listThere’s no private messaging here. Did you take a look at this page?
https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-group-and-sitewide-forums/In reply to: Can I have 2 sets of Groups?Search for “BuddyPress Group Types” you will find a number of plugins that allow you to set a type for a group. but these are typically just starter plugins, you’d have to decide what you are going to do with those types and implement in code.
In reply to: Can I have 2 sets of Groups? One option could be to use group hierarchy to nest the city groups within countries. Another option is to take a look at the group types plugins that will allow you to have different categories for groups in effect, you could then add cope to change how WordPress/BuddyPress behaves with those groups.
In reply to: I want to delete Activity Page.In that case you could make it password protected
In reply to: php warning: bp-activity-functionI’m sure dcavins has a better eye than me but I don’t see anything that jumps out as an error. Have you got rtMedia loaded? I’d be inclined to think it’s down to your own customisatons.
In reply to: All users marked as spammedYou can disable activity completely in the Dashboard>>Settings>>BuddyPress page, you can choose to disable this component. However the issue is likely to be down to the plugin that is checking for spam on the activity component of BuddyPress, which plugin is that?
In reply to: Show and Edit Password in ProfileI’m not sure what you are asking for here. Both items should be editable from the menu items BP provides the user with. From the Settings tab in the Profile Page.
