Not planning on doing that, would be useless, I’m just planning to add a function that triggers when placing a post/topic and send that into buddypress’ tables, replacing the standard group forum entries.

This would mean that you won’t be able to use buddypress group forums anymore, but personally.. I don’t need them.

Working on this already, got avatars and some other things inside bbpress already, working on getting bbpress into buddypress’ activity stream.

With that plugin you can already code that into your theme yourself, when user is a subscriber show upload, when he/she is not, then hide and give a nice message. Look at the advanced tab in the plugin.

Nice cool ideas, but what I would like to see then would be to disable all those features, I won’t need that many features, only need picture upload with albums.

If you mean the activity, then your correct, activity is stored in the database as full html/text to reduce query’s. So the admin link won’t change in there unless you edit it in the database.

The same way they did before, just go to wp-admin and publish posts like you used to do.

BuddyPress only adds, it doesn’t remove any core features from WordPress.

BuddyPress is definately what your looking for if you need profiles inside wordpress. But you will have to adjust your theme to be buddypress compatible before you can actually fully use buddypress.

No, buddypress is supposed to be a plugin that allows developers/bloggers to add a social network to their wp/wpmu. Personally I wouldn’t want that at all, look for a plugin or hire someone to do it for you, it isn’t that hard, you could even just copy paste.

And by making 2 topics doesn’t mean your getting help faster, just that your annoying apposed to the other users that have questions.

What do you mean by members map and friends map?

What could be fun with a plugin like this is make a page in your buddypress and a profile field where a user can enter his/her location and then you can see where everyone is on the buddypress map.

Adminbar gets it’s styling from the parent (main) theme.

Nice, really love the 3d style, colors are great too, I like very bright colors (fan of gaming and anime).

I’m working on a BuddyPress site in 3d style right now as well.

Only thing I have against the website is the big banner on top, I know you have to put it somewhere, but it really stands out like this. To a point at which it is annoying.

Role scoper plugin and a plugin of your own (mean you’ll have to create this) which tells buddypress that a certain role from role scoper must be taken when a user joins a certain group.

Shouldn’t be that hard.

The fact that the forum is grouped/linked in with the groups already make it a whole lot different then a standard old fashioned forum with subforums. The forums on that deanjrobinson site are still not like an old fashioned forum.

I’m still working on getting bbpress into the buddypress activity stream, but other then that.

I tuned my bbpress already to have avatars, names, profiles of buddypress.

Once that is checked, log out and then you can access the page.

You cannot access the page when your logged in.

It worked with 1.2 though.

Depends on how this notifies the group, it shouldn’t send a notice to all the users, I wouldn’t want to be bothered with my groups mentions, you’d get nuts when your in a lot of groups.

Other then that, good idea.
