Re: BuddyPress Competition is heating up
I’ve been working with Joomla for years (2004 – 2009), especially with community builder and also took a look at JomSocial, which isn’t that bad – but you have to pay for. There has always been discussions about SEO and security. Most annoying thing is, that more and more components and modules have to be paid – support isn’t always that good as you would expect. Buddypress lacks a few standard features Jomsocial or Communitybuilder has, but the community here is very active and helpful, so most of my needs get fulfilled. Only alternative to WP/BP: Drupal – but that takes a long time to understand (for me) if you’re not a programmer.
