I fixed it:

at the end of buddypress-home/comments.php I changed:

</form>

</div>

<?php endif; // If registration required and not logged in ?>

<?php endif; // if you delete this the sky will fall on your head ?>

to:

</form>

<?php endif; // If registration required and not logged in ?>

</div>

<?php endif; // if you delete this the sky will fall on your head ?>
