Thanks Burt. Yes – I realise now, that unless the user uploads any media, etc, that only the main blog directory will be there (which is where the avatars are put). So all part of the learning I suppose.

Fixed the original issue – which was black avatars…

Removed the Featured Gallery plugin I had installed.
