I did this in my child theme’s function.php file:

function my_custom_query_filter( $query_string ) {
$query_string .= ‘&action=activity_update’;

return $query_string;
}
add_filter( ‘bp_dtheme_ajax_querystring’, ‘my_custom_query_filter’ );

It seems to work! I now just need to get rid of the dropdown filter boxes!
