In reply to: PHP Fatal error on BP 2.6.1 activation
Thank you for this release.
Definetly not a BP or bbP issue IMHO.
– Once you click on preview, you get a page not found. OK
Because the entered user IS NOT registered as member.
After the first click he’s registered.– If he goes back in browser history to the edit form, and click again on preview he can see it.
I suppose it’s because of his status change – not member/member.
And this is defined by the plugin for the job submit form.
Ask the plugin author again for this.
In reply to: Crop cover photoPlease check the forum before asking for a same question posted a few hours before yours!
Closing this topic as duplicate.
The cover picture is not intended to be cropped.
When you use this feature, the component tells you which min. image size should be used. If it comes up or not is depends largely of your theme and wp settings. In reply to: bp-portfolio: Fatal error in X ThemeDeactivate immediatly bp portfolio, because the error shows to anybody your server path. This is a (low) security risk you can easily avoid.
Activate also a Twenty theme until you solved the issue.
And ask for help on BP Portfolio support.
/bp-portfolio/includes/bpcp-item-functions.php is *probably* the file where the issue came from.In reply to: Translation stop working after updateDeactivate loco translate and redo what i described previously.
Search also for evtl. issues mentionned on loco translate support.Aside there is no reason to use that plugin if you don’t translated scecificcally BuddyPress to your nedd. sv_SE.po/mo are loaded automatically.
If despite this, you use your own translation version, see how to prevent your translation to be overidden. It’s explained in one of the sticky topics on the plugin support. In reply to: Translation stop working after updateI’m unable to reproduce your issue. WP and BP language update is working properly.
BuddyPress har uppdaterats utan problem.
Guess it is this who genrate now an issue.
I have tried to update the po file with a new mo file but no differencePo & mo are not the same file, and mo is compiled…
Remove all bp language files from /language/
Deactivate and reactivate BP – this will force BP to reach his translation.do you have an issue with WDS BuddyPress Cover Photo ? If yes, please open a ticket on that gist. Or at least give some information about what you’re doing.
In reply to: Translation stop working after update@jangolin Which language are you using ?
In reply to: Getting error saying Buddypress Group photo large? You have to debug.
Deactivate all plugins except BP and try again with one of Twenty theme.
If you use a cache software, clear it before testing.Hi,
please don’t double post ! Closing this topic. Discussion goes here:
In reply to: Too Many Redirects when activating BuddyPressIs mod_rewrite allowed on your site and enabled ? Check your htaccess file to now.
Have you tested using a Twenty theme ?
Hi @navyspitfire,
when you pick up code somewhere, you should also read the comments. The solution to your issue was in one of them.
Here is what wil exclude site admin from members directory and exclude also the logged_in user. The total member count will also be adjusted correctly on All members [x] tab and for the pagination count.
$count-2instead of$count-1do the trick.Excluded members, incl. admin, are of course excluded from search.
function bpex_hide_admin_on_member_directory( $qs=false, $object=false ){ // Id's to hide, separated by comma $excluded_user = '1' ; // hide to members & friends if($object != 'members' && $object != 'friends') return $qs; $args = wp_parse_args($qs); if(!empty($args['user_id'])) return $qs; if(!empty($args['exclude'])) $args['exclude'] = $args['exclude'].','.$excluded_user; else $args['exclude'] = $excluded_user; $qs = build_query($args); return $qs; } add_action( 'bp_ajax_querystring','bpex_hide_admin_on_member_directory', 20, 2 ); // once admin is excluded, we must recount the members ! function bpex_hide_get_total_filter( $count ){ return $count-2; } add_filter( 'bp_get_total_member_count', 'bpex_hide_get_total_filter' ); function bpex_exclude_loggedin_user( $qs = false, $object = false ) { //list of users to exclude if( !is_user_logged_in() ) return $qs; //if the user is logged in , let us exclude her/him $excluded_user= get_current_user_id(); if( $object !='members' )//hide for members only return $qs; $args=wp_parse_args($qs); //check if we are listing friends?, do not exclude in this case if( !empty( $args[ 'user_id' ] ) ) return $qs; if( !empty( $args['exclude'] ) ) $args['exclude'] = $args['exclude'] .','. $excluded_user; else $args['exclude'] = $excluded_user; $qs = build_query( $args ); return $qs; } add_action('bp_ajax_querystring','bpex_exclude_loggedin_user', 20, 2 );Codex Reference
In reply to: How to STOP Topic Creations?Hi,
may sound stupid, but why not simply add some conditionnals for – or completely remove – the Add New Topic button from the template of that forum ?
In reply to: I can’t see any group’s contentMay be reading this topic can help you to debug ?
In reply to: Private Messaging IssueIn reply to: [Resolved] Removing nav & subnav item in groups@gerwinb, use this snippet for 2.6 +. Corrected, tested and approved by @imath
function gwb_remove_group_admin_tab() { if ( ! bp_is_group() || ! ( bp_is_current_action( 'admin' ) && bp_action_variable( 0 ) ) || is_super_admin() ) { return; } // Add the admin subnav slug you want to hide in the // following array $hide_tabs = array( 'group-avatar' => 1, 'delete-group' => 1, ); $parent_nav_slug = bp_get_current_group_slug() . '_manage'; // Remove the nav items foreach ( array_keys( $hide_tabs ) as $tab ) { // Since 2.6, You just need to add the 'groups' parameter at the end of the bp_core_remove_subnav_item bp_core_remove_subnav_item( $parent_nav_slug, $tab, 'groups' ); } // You may want to be sure the user can't access if ( ! empty( $hide_tabs[ bp_action_variable( 0 ) ] ) ) { bp_core_add_message( 'Sorry buddy, but this part is restricted to super admins!', 'error' ); bp_core_redirect( bp_get_group_permalink( groups_get_current_group() ) ); } } add_action( 'bp_actions', 'gwb_remove_group_admin_tab', 9 );In reply to: [Resolved] Just a mistake in frenchi haven’t see your topic. In reply to: Activity Sticky PluginIn reply to: Activity sticky plugin duplicatesActivity Sticky will effectively showing up twice when it is freshly published. But don’t be scarred, the sticky will remain sticky at the top of the site activity page, and the sticky activity activity will disapear in the activity flow. Same thing on the activity admin. It’s how it works !
For site wide annoncements, you can also use “Message to all”. The only difference with Sticky, is that the message is only showed individually to a logged-in user. Sticky is always public and limited to ONE announcement.
In reply to: A question about messages? In reply to: Notifications displaying “array”What do you mean by autoactualisation ? Notification count is in real time.
And if it is a theme feature, you should ask for this issue on the theme support.what should I give you to help you helping meC’est quoi cette question ? Non mais… 😉In reply to: Buddypress Registration page auto suggest pluginNo idea ! Google is your friend.
I would better let my users enter country, state and cities themselve as using a huge and complicated script.
I guess also that your question is not related to BuddyPress, but only to customizing a BP feature which is not intended for multisearch at all.See Gravity Forms or a similar plugin for this.
In reply to: Notifications displaying “array”Which theme do you use ? Have you tested with a Twenty theme ? Which plugins do you use ?
Have you made some customization ? If yes, give the codeIn reply to: Redirect from mentions to default activity tabMaybe you could adjust the email token ?
Or try one of the snippets mentionned in this discussion
