In reply to: private message name fieldHi @matthias70
Private messages can be sent to multiple recipients. The field you mention is for entering more usernames to send the message to.
In reply to: Activity Stream Gone After Moving HostingWithout knowing exactly what was done via the one click migration, it’s going to be hard to pintpoint what went wrong.
Was the one click migration intended for BuddyPress? Just WordPress? I’m not familiar with GoDaddy’s process
In reply to: Activity Stream Gone After Moving HostingHi @canadadre
There’s a very useful article that helps out with site moves. Take a look to see if there’s anything you could have done wrong when you migrated across:
In reply to: Buddypress “Show Everything” Box Scrunched UpYou’ll need to use some CSS, but first, try asking on the theme’s support forum. The theme author may be able to release a fix.
In reply to: “Back to Discussions” goes to HomepageHi @julesmaas-1
Try asking on the bbPress support forum. They cover all questions that are forum-related.
In reply to: Links plugin not working properly on install? There have been some problems with the BuddyPress Links plugin post BP 2.2 release. Check of this thread for some more info on the problem. I’m not sure if the developer has managed to resolve yet, perhaps it’s worth opening a ticket on his support forum.
In reply to: Buddypress Search Page is not savedI’m using 2.2 and when I search for ‘henry’, I appear in the list of members. That’s using Twenty Fifteen, no plugins and WordPress 4.1.
Which theme are you using?
In reply to: [Resolved] oEmbed in BP ProfileHi @myg0t
In bp-xprofile/bp-xprofile-template.php at around line 500, you’ll see:
apply_filters( 'bp_get_the_profile_field_value', $field->data->value, $field->type, $field->id );The
$val,$typeand$keyargs in your function correspond to$field->data->value,$field->type,$field->idIn reply to: Create BP_Messages_Message objectYou’re getting blank values because your code
$message = new BP_Messages_Message;will create a brand new object. Hence, sender ID, date sent etc haven’t been populated with any data yetIn reply to: Adding Member Registration Form to New PagesThings all start at
bp_core_screen_signup()which you can find in /bp-members/bp-members-screens.phpIf you follow the flow you should be able to see how the sign up process works
Hope that helps!
In reply to: Ideas : Take a look at ello.coHi @rosyteddy
Which features of Ello do you think BuddyPress could benefit from having?
In reply to: bbPress ForumsHi @eversatile
In case it helps in future, there is a support forum for bbPress where you can ask forum-related questions.
In reply to: Adding Member Registration Form to New PagesHi @ch1n3s3b0y
I don’t think there’s a template tag or shortcode available which will let you insert the registration form. To the best of my knowledge, if you want the form in multiple templates then you have to insert the form manually.
In reply to: Remove i-frame from groupsHi @omigosh
This isn’t added by BuddyPress. Social icons are something that BuddyPress leaves up to plugins.
In reply to: Welcome email customize?Do you know where that text comes from? I can’t find it anywhere in BuddyPress or in WordPress cores.
In reply to: Preventing spam registrants?Personally, I’ve found the honeypot approach to be quite effective. Try Justin Tadlock’s Registration Honeypot plugin.
In reply to: Can I downgrade to earlier versionHi @omigosh
I’m sorry you feel that way. Let’s see if we can resolve the issue. Of course you’re free to look elsewhere but hopefully things can be fixed here, and quickly.
First off, can you provide some more details on the problems you’re now seeing since upgrading to 2.2? Also, can you provide a list of plugins you’re using, and also info on your active theme.
To answer your question on downgrading, if done properly from backups then there shouldn’t be any problems. However, just deleting them plugin and replacing it with version 2.1 isn’t advisable as things can go wrong when you take that approach.
Hope that helps.

Hi @saish_neugi
Under Settings > Reading > Front page displays, make sure the radio button for A static page is selected. Then from the Front page dropdown make sure you select your register page.
Not that I know of. If you can work out what part of UserPro is conflicting with BP, perhaps you could ask the plugin developer to release a hotfix?
Hi @mark_cooper
Does the problem still happen if you disable all plugins and use the Twenty Fifteen theme?
