1 in 10 or 20 times, this forum generates blank pages when I visit. Something wasn’t happening before.
In reply to: Need to debug bp admin bar, help needed. It was happening on 2.8.4a with clean install with no other plugins as it was on my test environment. I’ll update once newer files than r1865 are available and test again.
In reply to: Point System in BuddyPress? We have two topics on this. One is about point system, another is about achivement plugin.
*.example.com and blog.example.com can co-exist, but not sure about database integrations. You’ll need to post this question to wpmu support forum.
In reply to: Founded problems with BP 1.1-preYou should post these on trac.buddypress.org as it’s hard for Andy to follow everything posted here. You can login with the same ID. There seems more bugs than current reported, so I’m adding additional bugs to make sure 1.1 release works fine.
In reply to: give each blog their own buddypress?Bp is not made to work like that. Sounds like you’ll need to fork some bp functions, but also write a completely new plugin from scratch.
In reply to: Create blogs for users later after registeredHave you read Mu documents? Mu allows two registration options:
1. create blog and username
2. create username only
In reply to: Sites using parent/child theme architecture?testbp and this site seem the same as before… wonder if any other bp user has implemented on their site.
In reply to: Plugin Request: Add things to profile menuBest thing is to hire a developer. If you keep bumping, you may be blocked or this topic will be closed.
In reply to: Saving Theme from upgradingor use userthemes plugin to make copy of system theme available only to specific blog(s).
In reply to: How to make a safe community?Profile visibility is discussed many times, and there’re even profile plugin and bp-custom hacks to keep privacy. Do search the topics.
User registrations… this is not really a buddypress thing. WordPress is lacking user management function, and I understand your frustration. However using plugins you can force users to answer certain question, otherwise user is not registered.
In reply to: Automatic Group JoiningThere’s plugin that helps users to join certain groups on signup. But not based on profile fields.
In reply to: BP-custom in the wrong placeWhatever tutorial says, Jeff says all.
In reply to: Plugin request: Removing “create a blog” optionsYou’ll just need to comment out a few lines from admin bar. Search this forum (as well as Google) “admin bar” etc to find out more.
In reply to: opensocialahh… when can we see the results of the votes?
In reply to: Sign in with Twitter?Using RPX lets you login using Twitter.
In reply to: Bp Hushtags #I can read some PHP but can’t write.
Solved. Correct token_url format is:
http%3A%2F%2Fexample.com%2F%3Frpx_response%3D1%26goback%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fexample.comReplace example.com with your own domain.
I tried to embed the signin interface using iframe, but it didn’t work at all. Before all, where can I get token_url which is required when using this iframe?
In reply to: New theme for Buddpress – Buddytran Beta 1Good design, I hope you’ll be able to finish bp-member themes.
In reply to: Unable to log inTry manually installing wpmu and bp.
bp is still in version 1. Version 3 comes like… two years later!?
I think you’ll just have to change plugin hooks… but I don’t know about this in detail.
In reply to: Different user account types@paulrostorp-1
You’ll need 3 different wpmu installs to run 3 different bp installs.
If the first install uses http://*.example.com then others can’t use this type of urls. But make sure you search and/or ask this question at wpmu forum about installing multiple wpmu.
In reply to: why same image for groups and profile ?Why don’t you just create another image, and change the img src in the template? I’ve seen a similar question before. It’s the same logic…
