In reply to: New theme – now available
We need more BuddyPress themes, but can’t really say I like the colors and all that shadow..
Other then that, it’ll probably be a good template to work out off. Keep at it.

Perhaps you can rewrite the plugin?https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-fbconnect/
Note: This plugin probably doesnt work with the latest and greatest WordPress 3.x and Buddypress 1.2.5.xIn reply to: Forcing White Background Color on all BP pages?html, body { background: #fff !important; }
Cant get it easier then that.
In reply to: memory problemYou need a lot of memory for a buddypress on a wpmu/wp install.

In reply to: Need a video plugin, for video community@nahummadrid I tried the same thing, found out that it was way too much work.
Either wait till BP Album+ is done or wait for WP3.0 with its custom post types.
In reply to: Need a video plugin, for video communityBP Album+ has promised to do something of the like as well in a future update.
In reply to: WordPress 3.0 compatibility?Have bbPress 1.0.2, BuddyPress 1.2.4 and WordPress 3.0 beta running fine. Haven’t seen any problem yet.
Almost gonna do beta, so I’ll find out what problems will show up.
In reply to: Buy themesTrying to get your e-mail adres or just a sloppy topic from someone who doesn’t know marketing.
Delete/Spam anyone?
In reply to: Integrating several buddypress + one vBulletinWouldn’t it be better to rebuild bbPress the way you want it and let the CMS stuff over to WP3.0?
Really think it’s a waste of time to try integrating two totally different softwares.
In reply to: add inside loop ”created wiki page”Ask this on WordPress.org? Don’t see why this is a Buddypress issue.
Anyway, why not install wp 3.0b and use custom post type?
In reply to: Using BuddyPress with MUBuddyPress is basicly just like any other plugin, just upload and install.
Although you might want to change your theme to fully make use of buddypress. You can also set your theme to keep your client blog posts on the frontpage.
In reply to: WordPress 3.0 new content types+1 for using wp 3.0 fully.
In reply to: Report Abuse PluginIn reply to: Will buddypress work for this site redesignEverythings possible as long as you can code it (or when your wallet is big enough).

This might help you out a bit, but to get all your specific functions, you’ll have to do some coding.

If someone wants to make a monster buddypress install with small buddypress installs beneath it, let him.
He’ll soon realise that it won’t work that way.Originality and feature rich buddypress installs will prevail.
In reply to: WP-United: BBpress alternative?Tried it, doesn’t work with recent wordpress and recent phpBB, let alone buddypress.
In reply to: Buddypress needs to STOP supporting bbPressIsn’t BuddyPress just using bbPress as a core foundation for its group forums? So rather than supporting bbPress, isn’t BuddyPress using bbPress?
Also, I disagree that bbPress is just a concept, seeing that development has restarted again.
I have used bbPress in the past as a wordpress forum since its easy to change and easy to template when you know how to make templates for wordpress. Other than simplepress forums and phpBB which are a pain to change cause of the new learning curve and phpBB is almost not integratable with wordpress.I’m working on a solution to intergrate bbPress with BuddyPress, dropping the group forums (I hate those).
In reply to: Plugin/Functionality Idea: Buddypress ’My Stuff’It’s pretty easy to do with just a normal wordpress page and a custom template for that page.
I agree with peterverkooijen and scotm.
Forget the easy admin, build a solid core and a flexible API for developers. If someone wants an easy admin panel, let someone build a plugin for buddypress that allows them to do that with a theme.
@finni3 Communities are never straight out of the box and they shouldn’t be.
Ask the guys over at wpmudev to help you out?
In reply to: bbPress issuesInstall wordpress and deep intergrate bbPress into it, then install buddypress on your wordpress and presto.
Make sure that your deep intergration with bbPress works before you install buddypress though.THIS WILL NOT intergrate your bbpress into buddypress. So topics/posts in bbpress won’t show up in your activity stream for example.
