You can get all the styling for you custom theme in /plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/inc/css/default.css
In order for it to take affect in your theme you need to add “/* Inherit the default theme styles */ @import url( ../../plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/css/default.css );” into your custom css page.
