Hey Boone,
I have made over 1500 groups during setup so the activity list is LOOONNNGGG! I had a little play and found that you could safely delete bp activity entries directly from the DB.
I ended up going the whole hog and ticked all the entries in the end and did one BIG delete of over 3000 entries.
All went well and the activity on the site is nice and empty, ready for the fun to begin.
So yeah, just wanted to let you know that it is safe to do.
