I’ve installed s2member on my site specifically because it CAN restrict access to both paid memberships AND free accounts. You can restrict access to posts, pages, tags, categories, single pages and uri’s. You can also have lots of fun with advanced conditionals and display different content to different membership levels, including the free level.
