Some initial questions:

  1. Which versions of WPMU and BuddyPress are you running?

  2. Have you enabled all of BuddyPress’ components?

  3. Where did you install the suite of BuddyPress components?

  4. Are you using custom themes of the standard themes that came with BuddyPress?
