NOOO! I want the @ to go both ways please do not remove that 
If you want to @somebody from BP to twitter then check it if you want to @ somebody just on site then dont check it. Very simple. when you click the @ for twitter make link in stream link to twitter when you @ someone with out checking it then link to the site url.
Is this even possible?
