First problem… try using an activity stream loop on your main blog:
https://codex.buddypress.org/developer-docs/custom-buddypress-loops/the-activity-stream-loop/

You’ll need to add the activity stream loop to your main blog theme.

Make sure BuddyPress is activated network-wide.
