It’s still built into BP, btw. If you pass $_GET into the loop, then the results will get sorted by letter. Something like this:
`http://test.shabushabu.eu/members/?letter=g`

Does not work here on this site, but on a standard installation it will. All that’d be left to do is build the navigation for it.
