Hi there,
I want to add some html to where the Friends (0) tab is displayed. I want to specifically include a different color tab, or maybe even another notice when there is a friend request.
Could someone point me the right direction as to where the friends number is calculated, or where the Friends tab itself is returned in a function.
Right now the HTML that is outputted is this:
I would like to change it to something like this:
Friends (0)<?php if(whatever_friend_request_function())
>*3 New Friend RequestsThank you
Hello everyone, our BuddyPress website will have some blogs, but not that USERS can create one. The idea is that we create a blog, and give those blogs some authors… so, we don’t want to have the Blogs link in the My Account list at the top, and also the Blogs link when you visit a user pages, where you see:
” * Activity
* Profile
* Blogs (1)
* Messages
* Friends (0)
* Groups (6)
* Settings
“
so, the bottom line is that we don’t want those Blogs links… can we remove those? Because in the home.php of the members map, you have those code:
“<?php bp_get_displayed_user_nav() ?>
<?php do_action( ‘bp_members_directory_member_types’ ) ?>”
and I believe that thats the code, where its calls for the BLOGS link on the PROFILE page?
Thanks so much for already for all the feedback!

Topic: Custom navigation list
Hi there,
i need a simple unorderd list of navigation items similar to the “My Account” menu in the adminbar (it puts the option-items as a subnav to the toplevel items), but it should also be aware whether or not to display a particular sub nav item in
I know there are
bp_get_loggedin_user_nav() (This navigation array is the top level navigation, so it contains items such as:
* [Blog, Profile, Messages, Groups, Friends] …)
bp_get_displayed_user_nav() (to render out the user navigation when viewing another user other than
* yourself)
bp_get_options_nav() (sub navigation for the current component)
Is there a combination of bp_get_loggedin_user_nav() and bp_get_options_nav() which renders only these option-nav-items for the selected top level navigation item? Or is there even a navigation template tag which is absolutely self aware on which component it is displayed, which item should be highlighted and which sub-navigation should be displayed?
