Whichever method you use, Meini – r-a-y’s method is better make sure you follow the folder structure of the file you copied from parent theme.
e.g. for r-a-y’s method, the post-form.php should be in this structure in server: wp-content/themes/yourChildThemefolder/activity/post-form.php
