As for uploading mp3 or audio files for members, Brajesh at BuddyDev.com is developing a BuddyPress Gallery plugin for images, video and audio which is coming out sometime later this month – it’s a premium plugin though. Might I suggest you contact him there to see how it could help you with frontend uploading of audios by members.
