If you’re testing a fresh BP install, add some content so you’ll see how it’s displayed. BP Default Data plugin is ideal for this.

https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4237In reply to: bp_core_remove_nav_itemHi @muskokee,
BP nav menu code is in bp-core-template.php:3050 to EOF.To change the position of an item on profiles page, use this from within bp-custom.php
Position is defined by the numeric value:function bpfr_profile_menu_tab_pos(){ global $bp; $bp->bp_nav['activity']['position'] = 30; $bp->bp_nav['forums']['position'] = 50; $bp->bp_nav['profile']['position'] = 25; $bp->bp_nav['messages']['position'] = 10; $bp->bp_nav['notifications']['position'] = 40; $bp->bp_nav['friends']['position'] = 20; $bp->bp_nav['groups']['position'] = 60; } add_action('bp_setup_nav', 'bpfr_profile_menu_tab_pos', 100);You can also add some condition on the template. Ie
if ( is_user_logged_in() ) : your custom menu stuff else something for non logged user endif;Other reference: https://codex.buddypress.org/themes/members-navigation-menus/

In reply to: Changing page titles with language fileAre you sure that the mo file contains you’re change ? If yes, save po/mo in a safe place, then remove po/mo from live site and ensure your site comes in english (default).
– Reload buddypress_xx_XX.mo to wp-content/languages/plugins/buddypress-xx_XX.mo
Aside, which language are you using ?

Associate a WordPress Page with each BuddyPress component directory.- Activity Streams (if activated)
- User Groups (if activated)
- Members > this is core and can’t be removed/modified

https://buddypress.org/support/topic/add-group-redirects-to-404-error/Did you restored your DB before WP was updated to 4.3 ?
Is the group page assigned to groups component in BP settings ?
Does your DB contain the 3 tables related to groups ? (_bp_groups, _bp_groups_groupmeta & _bp_groups_group_members ?Have you tried to use the BuddyPress repair tool ? Dashboard > Tools > BuddyPress ?
In reply to: Profile matchingHi,
there is a small and very simple built-in fonctionnality in xprofile component which let you find other users who used the same value. The value is clickable, or if it is a textarea value, the 5th first words.
Ie. you have a field “city”. User A enter New-york, user B enter Sacramento, user C enter New-york, userd D enter Dallas.
If somebody visit A’s profile and click on New-York, he will see a user list containing user A and user C.For more granularity, finer search, multi search, etc, you have to find some plugin or to hire a developper to built something from scratch.
You’re welcome 😉
It seems I needed to use
!importantYou’re right, that’s good practice while overwriting BP CSS rules.
In reply to: Changing page titles with language fileHi @rgrober,
if you use poEdit, search for Members and you’ll find an string commented [component directory title]. This is the string for member page title. His ID is 584
or open .po file with Notepad++, and the string is line 2968. Do your change. Save. Open the po with poEdit – do nothing but save, to generate a new mo file. That’s it !
In reply to: hide ‘not recently active’hi @bruce7075,
read from here:
https://buddypress.org/support/topic/not-recently-active/In reply to: What does Site Tracking do?BuddyPress activity stream is explained on Codex:
It’s a feature for internal purpose. In other terms, an activity log(journal) of your site/network only.Site tracking has a similar target (inform users), but oriented for statistics to search engines (like Google Analytics), advertisement & banner service, ping & trackback and other things happening with help of cookies. It’s used for external purpose and need generally a plugin to be managed.
that is a question for the plugin author.
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wp-fb-autoconnectPerhaps you have also to consider the features proposed by the premium version.
