@vick717, As for the mobile solution maybe in time ,you could release an API so that twitter clients can implement it !

Am not sure it can be done…

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years ago]

@vick717, Again job well done and the progress on this media is great and the future.

Maybe, when most features and wishlist are done,it could be the default media plugin !!

look forward to the features etc !

The original plan for Kaltura plugin was a solution for media back then and maybe now.

As for the buddypress core team. Andy said when ready an album plugin will be made.

Therefore, I’ve been working to get a good solution for a media plugin and this new developer team has got the job done !

More media solutions the better choice for all !

Welcome to buddypress forum, and thank you for creating this plugin which as been a headache and now see the light.

Like Jeff Sayre, said start a new thread and you shall get the max reponses !

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years ago]

I’ve got some info which I sent to the developers about this media headache project !

Here’s the reply..

” You can use BuddyPress component with Kaltura CE with some minor changes whose documentation we will publish soon on our blog – wpveda.com

About adding video/images/audio related actions to a user activity stream, that feature is on the card but it will take 4-5 months. You can get it developed by paying us privately or fund development of this open-source addon publicly. We will soon publish list of donors with their sites on the project page.

Do let me know if there is anything I can help you with. “

What’s is the best method of funding this project or shall we all contact the developer?

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years ago]

@Michael Berra, contact the developer .. but I want to self host the media using the open source Kaltura media server

http://www.kaltura.org/project/kalturaCE

Maybe we all should contact him as well !

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years ago]

What do you mean? Are you looking for twitter OAuth which is an authentication protocol that allows users to approve application for buddypress?

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 1 month ago]

That’s good, can you post images to activity stream and comment on it like facebook?

[@gpo1 Participant 17 years, 1 month ago]
