In reply to: Where are the avatars ?
DO NOT make duplicated posts.
https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/where-are-the-avatars-1
If you have mistakenly made two topics, make a note to ask other members not to respond and direct them to right place.
In reply to: Sign up fatal error!1.1 shouldn’t require extra plugin to integrate bbpress. You should write about your software versions when you ask for help on this forum. And for theme, it sounds like you are using bp-sn-parent which shouldn’t be used directly. Please read sticky posts about new theme architecture and 1.1 help.
In reply to: multiple notifications problemCouldn’t this be posted on following topic?

I’m not sure if you can get enough response on problems on your own plugin.
In reply to: Several issues3) Backup, backup, and backup. Try it, if not working, then return it back.
4) I don’t think there’re posts on the forums. BuddyPress doesn’t have theme options as in other themes. You have to edit it. Use Firefox/Firebug to find what to edit.
In reply to: How to Remove Admin Bar from Buddypress 1.1There was a post where Any suggested to use bp-custom with just one line. I saw it yesterday, but can’t find it now. Why don’t you check documents if there’s entry on this?
In reply to: Sign up fatal error!@casualbox: why don’t you use 1.1 rather than RC?
In reply to: Problem with bpPicture AlbumHave you checked with the author if plugin is compatible with 1.1?
In reply to: admin bar links at bottom of browser – a bug?Andy is making changes to buddypress.org including forums and documents. Should be find by tomorrow.
In reply to: Several issues1) What is “Activate avatar” e-mail? I’ve never heard it nor seen it on any of my bp installs so far.
2) maybe you need to reinstall buddypress. Or use 1.1 rc for better usability.
3) Global configuration option to enable/disable self user account deletion is introduced from 1.1. Are you sure you are running 1.0.3, as it doesn’t even offer you such option. Users can just click to delete.
4) You can simply delete those functions from theme files, or maybe better hack available. Check for sticky posts.
We have a lot of information with quite a lot of user experiences posted here.
Read the document first.

Your install seems clean install, but you should also read this sticky topic.
https://buddypress.org/forums/topic/upgrading-to-1111-beta
You’ve figured how to post on this forum, it shouldn’t be difficult to find documents and extra information (searching, etc.), right?

btw, you are right about link missing. We need to call Andy here.
You really need to understand buddypress…and maybe bit about WordPress. Everything is explained in readme.txt
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or whatever, BuddyPress stays in plugins directory as it’s a plugin for wpmu.
In reply to: Better avatar crop function1.1 rc got better cropping function, I mean, fixed major bugs people were reporting, right?
In reply to: Only selected plugins on member blogs? This topic may mislead new comers that this forum also supports wpmu blog discussions. I suggest you to move this topic under wpmu forum, or wpmudev forum.
In reply to: Membership feeSince this is buddypress forum, I think johnegg is looking for membership plugin that works on buddypress interface aka frontend.
@Peterverkooijen: You should post that question on wpmudev forum, or contact them to find out more.
In reply to: Membership feeYou can do whatever you want if you can code a plugin for your needs. I hear it shouldn’t be hard for wordpress plugin developers to make one for buddypress as they’re the same.
In reply to: Group/Profile LayoutChanging width is simple even if you don’t know CSS. We have Google and it tells us everything about CSS when we need it. All you need is firefox with firebug to find out css properties.
In reply to: My blogs Menu ProblemI thought someone else reported this problem, and you were also reporting your problem there. I’m not sure if another of this is needed. But when you post questions, you SHOULD always include your server setup, like buddypress version, wpmu version, plugins in use.
In reply to: Twitter Avatar in addtion to Gravatar optionI suggest you read the original site carefully… I’ve posted many times here that RPX is so far the best solution for OAuth for buddypress on ANOTHER TOPIC.
In reply to: Users privacy…I think you can close this topic DJPaul.
In reply to: Any way to hide admin menu of buddypress? There’re plenty ways! Search the plugins from Developer menu.
In reply to: Grouping of People into CategoriesThere’s wpmu plugin to categorize members, but not for buddypress. The code is GPL, so you shouldn’t have problems porting it work with bp. Visit wpmudev.
You’d better not keep this conversation about qtranslate here. If there’s dedicated topic, post there. Or if there’s no active topics, create new one with “bp and qtranslate” kinda title.
DO NOT use installers other than default wpmu plugin installer. Install buddypress from wordpress plugin installer, or set it up manually with FTP/SSH.
And make sure to activate the theme before you select themes. Which is explained in wpmu documents.
In reply to: blog.dir questionThere may be plugins. And this question is about wpmu and not buddypress (although buddypress may save files there, or ?). Visit wpmu forums and search, so you may find related and detailed information.
How about pasting your .htaccess here so DJPaul or other experts could get some more detail.
