It’s probably something to do with your OneCommunity Themeforest theme.

I’m guessing that the theme author put bp_head() before wp_head(). Pass that tidbit to the theme author or adjust it yourself by moving bp_head() below wp_head() in header.php.

If you switch to another theme like Twenty Twelve or Twenty Thirteen, you should see that the Sitewide Activity feed is placed last.

Uh? I just read about a 100 articles about how you can have forums from bbPress and group forums, the 2 themes that I’m trying to choose between mentions both…

    Theme1

    Theme2

Is that what they do? they have installed bbPress separately ? What are the latest guides for achieving this?

I am trying to use the One Community Theme on Word Press. Do I need to instead download Buddy Press and build the site on there? This is my first time trying to set up a Buddy Press page and I just need a little bit of help getting going. Anyone want to be a BuddyPress buddy??? I am working on the site for a nonprofit organization pro-bono.

Presuming http://themeforest.net/item/onecommunity-buddypress-theme/3713046 is your theme, have you tried upgrading it to the latest version – v1.1.9 ?

If that isn’t the problem and as this is a premium theme I suggest you ask on http://themeforest.net/item/onecommunity-buddypress-theme/discussion/3713046 or http://support.diaboliquedesign.com/ ?

    Good day,

I have set up a new installation of
    buddypress 1.7
    wordpress 3.51
    theme onecommunity 1.03
    bbpress 2.31
no groups setup – don’t need any (enable group forums unchecked)
    sitewide forum setup
homepage = Home and set to frontpage1

    and keep getting this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function bp_has_groups() in /home/flpsblog/www/voice/wp-content/themes/OneCommunity/frontpage1.php on line 40

appreciate any assistance or push in the right direction.

    I’m using OneCommunity theme
at the test environment I deactivated all plugins, except buddypress itself and also switched to the BP Default theme, but it didn’t help

it all worked with all the plugins and this theme, I dunno why it now doesn’t anymore

EDIT- info removed per request ~~~ mercime
