Which ‘toolbar’ are you talking about. We have three that might be the one you are talking about. We have the ‘member adminbar’ which has ‘my account’ ‘my blogs’…, the member and home theme ‘button bar’ which have ‘news’, ‘groups’…
In all cases you have to modify the code or develop a plugin to make additions or modifications.
I installed the forum and it is working at http://www.frugalers.com/forums/. My problem is I don’t have a forum button on my toolbar to get there. In addition how do you add additional buttons to toolbar for navigation?
Well, I updated to trunk-641 and although I now have 3 identical groups made (from my 3 attempts at trying to create from r640), I’m now getting this even uglier error in what I think is my header, right under the buddypress toolbar:

We’ve been working with Lisa Sabin Wilson of eWebscape who built a custom BuddyPress installation on our newly launched site http://www.weheartthis.com

Some of the biggest issues we’ve faced:
1) IE issues – page alignment is off, toolbars do not work, lots of 404 messages (we’ve encouraged our members who use IE to download Firefox or Safari instead, fingers crossed that the official release will help with some of these bugs)
2) We have the same avatar cropping issue as mentioned by other posters – it’s very hit or miss for us, sometimes it works fine, sometimes it just can’t be done at all)
3) The browser title bar will read, “oops, that’s a 404 page” or “nothing found for ____” even when it isn’t a 404 page or it has found something.
4) We have installed BBpress forums as well. The password and login of our member works for both applications, but members need to login at second time when they land on the forum main page (even if they have already logged in earlier)

How about adding a small TinyMCE toolbar for the Wire? Oh and also.. A small reply link with every Wire post which would take you directly to my Wire or even better, show up a small text-box which would post your reply directly to my Wire. Wouldn’t that be great?
