There’s the external bbPress integration with BuddyPress which is the tougher route and then there’s the internal bbPress integration with BuddyPress that’s built-in and tied in groups. The last time I ever did the external bbPress integration was in BP 1.1.2 and it took around 45 steps over a few hours because of some hiccups in integration along the way. Since then, it’s been internal bbPress integration all the way
