Hello!

For the site i’m currently working on, it’s important that the users are allowed to favorite blog posts and that it appears on their “favorite” tab on profile. I’m using WordPress 4.0.1 / BuddyPress 2.1.1.

The following code does that, but is there a way to make it work like the ajaxed favorite buttons on the activity page instead of reloading the page so the favorite option will be saved?

a tags were replaced by [a] so the code will appear above.

Hey guys!

My client has buggered me to all ends on adding a volunteer registration page to his site with no actual real function other than it allowing the same register form as the the site’s current buddypress form.

I checked the forum and really can’t find an instance where one has created a second instance of the form. I can get the login page to show via php inclusion on a page template but not the register page.

I should also state I’m running this site within the Bridge theme and Visual Composer and while I haven’t ran into any bugs I just can’t figure out how to bring about calling a second instance of the registration form as it appears on the current registration page.

My logged-in users are able to post updates to groups and they are able to comment on the updates. The update shows on the activity stream, yet the comments only show who commented and not the comment itself. Any ideas what could be causing this?

I hope someone can help, I feel like I have tried everything, I have changed every setting in every way I can think of, I have resaved permalinks with every change. Ran all the repair tools I could find.

We are running WP 4.0.1 – BP 2.1.1 – BBPress 2.5.4 – My wife and I have been playing with this website I believe since Buddypress was new, 2010?. So we been thru every version and have lots of stuff in the database that I dont even believe is used anymore.

All forums were originally created before BBPress when Buddypress made you create a group to start a forum, now I am trying to make some forums sitewide and make some part of groups like before. All of this seems like it was possible a year or so ago and a few versions ago, I have found a bunch of instructions to follow to no avail.

The problem right now is: with the setting “Allow BuddyPress Groups to have their own forums” unclicked – (I have made sure that enable_forum is 0 in the database for all groups).

Example slug at this point is: /forums/forum/online-resources

I create new category type forum “Group Discussions” and click “Allow BuddyPress Groups to have their own forums” pointing it to the new form.

The slug changes to: /groups/forum/

I have group forums clicked, if you visit: http://godstuff.ablurk.com/forums (dynamically created by BBPress?) and hover down the list of forum links you can see which ones have bad links and give 404s, some still work, ALL these forums were created back in BP 1 as group forums with no BBPress and yet they act differently now, some permalinks change and some don’t???? Some change to this /groups/share-music-videos/forum/ ???

I have http://godstuff.ablurk.com/forums/forum/online-resources hard linked in the sidebar features menu, when clicked and it redirects to /groups/forum/ and 404s.

I have a large multisite installation that calls on xprofile fields for each user on a particular site in order to return users for a specific item. Due to all the sites having this info, but only needing to pull from users from each specific site, I used the code in the link below to make sure that the profiles aren’t syncing xprofile info between all the sites, problem is, the code supplied doesn’t work, here it is… https://codex.buddypress.org/themes/guides/segregated-x-profile-fields-for-multisite/

I am getting a ton of error messages on the site and it has to do with these 4 lines,
