ParticipantTry this in bp-custom.php
function bp_non_member_redirect() {
global $bp;
if ( bp_is_activity_component() || bp_is_groups_component() /*|| bbp_is_single_forum()*/ || bp_is_forums_component() || bp_is_blogs_component() || bp_is_page( BP_MEMBERS_SLUG ) ) {if(!is_user_logged_in()) { // not logged in user
wp_redirect( get_option('siteurl') . '/register' );
} // user will be redirect to any link to want
}
}
add_filter('get_header','bp_non_member_redirect',1);
NOTE: If your using sitewide forums instead of group forums you will need to remove the comment /* */ around:
|| bbp_is_single_forum()
in the above code. Merry Christmas!December 25, 2012 at 4:16 pm #148911In reply to: Merry Christmas buddypress forum

I’m having the same problem with threads, forum creation and activity streams. Here’s my other problem… I’m an end-user with little knowledge so i’m not sure how to apply the patch.
Could someone help me it would be greatly appreciated.
December 22, 2012 at 10:01 pm #148772In reply to: BuddyPress Moderation 0.1.6
@mercime
Participant1. the plugin has not been updated since WP 3.2.1
2. it’s a weekend and it’s one that’s before a major holiday here so many forum volunteers are shopping or just taking some well-deserved rest or traveling somewhere, etc.
3. https://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/bp-moderation/trunk/bpModLoader.php
You can still activate the plugin network-wide even if you remove that “Network: true” from that file I linked to above in your plugins/bp-moderation/ folder so you could access it in subsite’s plugin panel. Having said that, no guarantees that the plugin would still work with WP 3.5December 22, 2012 at 3:30 pm #148753In reply to: Group Mods can't access group admin

ParticipantWordpress 3.5, buddypress 1.6.2, bbpress 2.2.3 for group forums and main forums.

@mercime
ParticipantStrange. Haven’t seen activation of BuddyPress to lead to bbPress errors before. WP/BP versions? What theme are you using? What other plugins do you have activated? Do you have group forums in addition to your Sitewide Forums?

ParticipantI changed all tabs hidden as default setting and solved the problem. I still don’t know why only forums tab has error.. Thank you.
December 22, 2012 at 3:58 am #148429@mercime
ParticipantYup, it was reported in the plugin’s forums https://wordpress.org/support/topic/v35-throws-up-error-messages?replies=1 Best person to fix this is the author of the plugin.

ParticipantI donāt know what the BP template pack does
It copies over BP template folders into your active theme, in this case Topbusiness, plus adds styles, JS and AJAX for the BP elements.
it was recommended in the documentation.
Topbusiness theme author recommended this? Best post in theme author’s forums to resolve template pack issue. The plugin has not acted up like that with other WP themes we helped template-pack so far.

ParticipantI was referring to sitewide forums. This plugin is broken for WP v3.5. Any other options? And thanks, I hadn’t seen this plugin and hopefully it is only temporarily broken.

Participantforum walls
Are you referring to the Group Forums or Sitewide Forums? There’s no plugin that does this for Group Forums. For bbPress Sitewide Forums -> https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bbpressmoderation/
December 21, 2012 at 3:45 pm #148388In reply to: Multisite Removal (BuddyPress on Network)
Hugo Ashmore
ParticipantI (myself) wanted to have my 5 websites in the multisite. 1 main site (BuddyPress) + 4 sub-sites Just WordPress (Not BuddyPress). I donāt offer sites to members.
Then why didn’t you continue with that?, you don’t have to offer sites to members. Why did you try what is really ill advised once you have a production site running – unless you haveĀ experience of these matters.
The backup size is because that is a server backup, and I would guess being done in the same fashion as a control panel backups, including the zipped backup probably, is that a normal size? hard to say, it’s large but those types of backups often are being designed to restoreĀ more than just your site.
If I were you I would probably leave well enough alone and just disable anyone can regieter a site. and keep yours, if not then follow exactly the advice given on WP forum and by mercime.

ParticipantIt is possible to ‘remove’ Forums tab by editing functionc.php.
But I just want to hide from other members.

ParticipantI found about ‘show_for_displayed_user’ => false,’ sentence on every loader files, and i could hide friends and activity tab. Thank you.
But i use bbPress with Buddypress, so there is ‘Forums’ tab. I could not hide this Forums tab anyway… Is there any way to hide Forums tab ?
Thank you for reading.

December 20, 2012 at 5:33 pm #148314In reply to: New to BuddyPress
@mercime
ParticipantAs was mentioned above, errors can be due to a variety of issues. It can also be caused by error/s in configuring membership plugins as well. Check that your settings with s2member forum/tech support.
Users who registered before BuddyPress was activated have not been “recorded” by BuddyPress. They need to log in first after BP is activated to be included in member count. So that’s normal.
