Hello, I had this code, what it does is that certain users already enter with a subscription and can use the chat without having to pay. When updating to the latest version the code no longer works. Any idea what has changed?:

I would like to remove the statement that shows on the registration page:
“Registering for this site is easy. Just fill in the fields below, and we’ll get a new account set up for you in no time.”
I see there has been other questions about this, (for example, here: https://buddydev.com/support/forums/topic/hide-register-text-in-bp-regsiter-form/) but it has not been resolved for me. I am not using Buddypress Nouveau. I have BuddyPress 12.4.0.

I have a wordpress v6.3.2 with

> ProfileBuilder v3.10.1 (in order to have custom fields during registration)
> Elementor ProI have 2 weird behaviour.
1- Non admin users, can see the admin bar with… MY account when they logged in.
Fortunately, they cannot go in my account.
To avoid that, for the moment i installed a plugin : Hide Admin Bar Based on User Roles2- The non admin accounts go directly in the backoffice when they log in (with the connexion button widget of elementor)
Could you please help me?

I modified the profile-loop.php file some time ago to hide profile fields that are empty but my code doesn’t work anymore, has any change been done to the code some updates ago ?
Here is what I modified :

I am currently testing an installation where
- User registration is handled by WordPress and not BuddyPress
- I can register a user through the above interface without interference from BP registration
- BuddyPress’ Extended Profile fields is enabled
- I have added custom Profile fields and I am able to update them as a user (not during registration)
All of the above seem to work without issues. BP’s Name field is never touched.
But there are several support requests, such as this, asking that the field ‘Name (required)’ not be a required field and, invariably, the standard reply appears to be ‘here some code to fix that’, ‘this is not an easy fix’ or ‘there is a plugin for that’.
I have also seen tickets on Trac logged for this.
There was even a comment by Boone somehwere (either here or on Trac) saying that this field is so deeply embedded in BP that this modification is not easy (I can’t find this reference right now).
So I am trying to understand why I don’t have any issues with this field not being populated (see above) when much of the documentation saying it is required.
As it stands, all I’d have to do is to hide the “Base” Profile Group from my profile template with a hook or something and not worry about it being ever populated.
Am I missing something?

I have created “Professional Experience” repeater field set and inside it I created :
- current job (yes or no)
- end date (date) hide when current job is yes
The issue is when I edit the profile the end date hid only in the first field not working on other fields. Also, it’s not working at all when I view the profile.

Under user profiles, if they want to export there data how can I filter/hide listing all plugins from being listed please? I would like to to show only specific fields even though it still exports the other data I just don’t want it listing all the plugins associated with he site.Thanks

Okay, I have learned to use code to show profile fields on different parts of the page. But I was wondering if it were possible to show or hide one field based on whether the profile member and the member viewing the profile were a match in another field.
For example, could I:
show the field favorite color if a man is viewing a woman’s profile or a woman is viewing a man’s profile – but – hide the field favorite color if a man is viewing a man’s profile or a woman is viewing a woman’s profile?

Can you help me for hiding the “Modify” button on a member page.
I Don’t want that my members can change their profile by themself because all fields are automaticly feed by an LDAP authentication.
Before updating my Woffice theme, i just have to comment some lines of this file :

I have tried the WP 2015 Theme and got the same results. So I switched back to KLEO and noticed, that the xProfile fields do change to the desired visibility settings, AFTER the user clicks the SAVE SETTINGS button. So I guess I was confused by the fact that BEFORE you hit the save button there is a misleading visual feedback (the visibility term does not alter to the according setting the user has just changed it to, it still displays the same value as before).
Could this be changed in the next release?
My first problem still remains: the „change display name visibility option“ is displayed beneath the name field on the user Registration page. This doesn’t make sense, if the name’s visibility throughout BuddyPress network is mandatory. How can I get rid of this line? Does this line and it’s user changeable visibility options really not appear on a default install?
In the WP Dashboard I cannot change the options for the primary Name field. Only the fields under the details tab can be altered by admin and set to be visibility-changeable by the user. (Hope you understand what I try to say 😉
