@vapvarun It was about something else. I would like to allow registration only for e-mail addresses that I previously added manually in the panel.

Hi, in the registration form I have to add a checkbox regarding marketing consent. The problem is that the text is cut off. How can I increase the number of checkbox characters?

    Hi,

Im trying to create a site with two member types with specific capabilities. for example business members and ordinary members. I could do this with the Members Plugin and creating two new roles.
But how can I give the option(mandatory) to select the role of the member on the registration form itself?.

    Thanks

Thank you. I believe that solves the issue of the user registration for the moment.

Yep BuddyPress has it’s own registration page, it ususally automatically creates it – register though in reality buddypress does not use this pages content and just uses the pages slug as an anchor. You can go to Dashboard>>Users>>Profile Fields to add additional profile fields to the register page, you just add them to the Main field group. These are added to the right side of the registration page in the same order as viewed in the main profile group page.

Sorry I thought you were testing the registration page from the front end. So you are saying that clicking on edit the registration page redirects you to the homepage?

I’m using WP 4.9.4, buddypress the latest version, and I’m trying to a bike xchange website going where people can xchange bikes, parts, and accessories at no cost to encourage bicycling across the globe. However, I’m trying to get my register page operational, which I created a registration form with wp-forms. The site’s address is http://bikexchange.org.

I have embedded the code from from wp-forms onto the page along with a picture, and it’s being redirected to another page, instead it keeps going back to the home page.

I also have buddypress plugin which i will be using for profiles.

Where do I go to get the registration for users activated?

    Hi,

how can I set the max. characters that could be entered in a textfield? I need this for registration and later editting of the fields in profile tab, because I don’t want my users to have a 999 character long name.

    With best regards

You can use one of the BuddyPress privacy plugins to set aspects of your site as private and visible only to logged in users. For example it’s a feature of BuddyPress Registration Options or BuddyPress Simple Privacy, or BuddyPress Members Only.

    So, I have wp+buddypress+my theme+plugins (=mo files) translated to 2 languages.

And I need to add new feature to my users… the choice to choose their language in registration page, and/or in buddypress profile settings (in frontend)

I do not need the WPML and similiar plugins, because I need only the switcher. And I am not going to translate posts or pages.
Somethink like this plugin, but better for buddypress usage:

    fw-quick-langswitch

    Thanks all for your help.

I think the first thing to do is to rule out a plugin conflict, there’s definitely something not working, something interfering with the registration process. S you need to test this with just BuddyPress loaded and a standard theme like 2017.

Hello, i have a problem with the members registration.
When they create their account, the password they enter is not synchronized with wordpress, they have to fill out the forgotten password change form and it’s a big problem.
I have buddypress, Xprofile, contact form and some other plugins that do not act on users.

To clarify, you can visit the registration page and fill out the form, but submitting your registration results in no request being generated and you are redirected to your home page?

Can you check your BP setup at wp-admin > Settings > BuddyPress > Pages and verify that there are pages assigned to each of the BP components?

When WP_DEBUG is set to true, you’re not seeing any errors or notices in your debug.log?

According to this page, it says they should be receiving message that says “Your membership account is awaiting approval by the site administrator….”

When a user registers for our site, they see a message with a header that reads, “Check Your Email To Activate Your Account!”

Everything I’ve read says that this can only be edited in the Po and Mo files? I downloaded PoEdit and tried to open the file but I get an error.

How can I edit this title? I’m not sure why they are receiving this message in the first place because they don’t receive an email until admin approves them. Is this an error in BP Registration Options? Or is is there something wrong with our site? I have downloaded and deleted several private site and approve new user type plugins trying to find the right solution.

Thank you for any help, it is much appreciated.

Somehow BP Registration Options started hiding the events page also. I’m not sure what I did but this has been resolved. Thank you!

Hi. I have been stuck with same issue for over two weeks now and cannot resolve a member registration issue. I have a registration page with original short-code embedded, however, when people go to register as new user the it wont accept them. I have a few hundred members, and then it died. I have no idea why. Suggestions please?

Not by using BP Registration Options to manage your site privacy. There are other site privacy plugins and some of them have options for privacy to cover additional pages.

I have a private social network site using the Buddypress Registration Options plugin. It only hides bp component pages from non-logged in users. I’d like to hide the Events page as well, which isn’t a bp component. Is there anyway to do this without adding a plugin that would conflict?

    Thank you.
