ParticipantUsing Firebug, you would see that your theme adds an icon on the bottom right corner of the container for elements with .info class. So you need to add some padding on the right of the container to show the icon:
`div#message {
padding-right: 50px;
}`
OR
you can remove the icon entirely like so
`div.info {
background: transparent none;
}`November 8, 2012 at 1:56 am #144701In reply to: Reply not working on activities page

Participant@stefan83 I see no reason why the revisions you’ve made to your other BP template files and applied to register.php won’t show up. Can you post the codes for your theme’s page.php and the revised code you have for your register.php file in respective pastebin.com pages?

ParticipantHi,
Still no luck to find out what’s going on with this ajax conflict problem that I mentioned above.
1. There are two options under Appearance menu –> BP Theme Compatibility, (since I need the first one enable, so I did not check the first one), and I checked the 2nd one to disabled the “template JS/AJAX”, then save.
Now, the issue is the “post activity” button will NOT show up if you typed somthing into the post activity text area, but the events manager calendar and map will show up correctly.
2. If I unchecked this “disable the 2nd option” as first one, I got other issues –
Now, the “post” button will show up this time after you typed something and you can pressed the “post” button as well, BUT, you will get an error message “There was a problem posting your update, please try again.”, and nothing post.
The other issue is the map and calendar of events manager won’t show up.
So, can you tell me what happend? I think it’s related to JS/AJAX to call out more than once or maybe conflict…….?????
Another question about BuddyPress.org site – is there any “search” function available on this site? The box on the top corner never works, just wondering how I am going to search this site.
Thank you very much and looking forward to hear from you and please help me to solve those issues, reaally appreciate it.November 7, 2012 at 9:11 pm #144686@mercime
Participant@marutim I need the code for precontent.php file as well. Heads up – Initial scan shows that you will have to revise 16 BP template files from the folders transferred to your current theme in server.

ParticipantAs mercime says get a link up, it will be likely a fairly simple thing to correct even if it doesn’t seem so but a look at the site working is essential.

@mercime
Participant@zortex decision time. Either
a) create two (2) files only -> but the title of the BP pages won’t look like the titles of your other pages http://flexfit.mintithemes.com/sidebar-right/
OR
b) revise sixteen (16) files from BP template folders transferred to your active theme in server -> the page titles in BP pages would look like the ones in rest of siteI would opt for (a). Which one would you like for all your BP pages?

@mercime
Participant@bomio You can use BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG https://codex.buddypress.org/developer-docs/bp_enable_multiblog/
Reminder, spirituell.ws should also be using a BP-ready or BP-compatible themeNovember 7, 2012 at 7:10 pm #144672In reply to: How to make Buddy Press Compatible with Theme

Participant@jacques24 site url? Need to see what’s wrong.
November 7, 2012 at 7:08 pm #144671@mercime
ParticipantCan you go to Appearance > Themes? If not, I would re-upload WordPress manually. If you created WP via webhost script — fantastico, softalicious, etc — then I suggest you start from scratch and install WP manually https://codex.wordpress.org/Installing_WordPress#Famous_5-Minute_Install
If that doesn’t work, please start a new topic as this thread deals specifically with the Sahifa theme compatibility with BP.

@mercime
ParticipantI don’t have a copy of the premium theme. If you also cannot change the menu generated in the theme’s header.php then you should contact theme developer/vendor to make the changes, probably in functions.php file.

ParticipantIn your theme, you can use the is_user_logged_in() function to show content to only logged-in users.

ParticipantHi let me quickly explain what i did. I copied Header, footer and sidebar.php outside my ftp client and renamed them to header-buddypress, footer-buddy-press and sidebar-buddypress. I then followed your steps however i found it odd that i had to make a blank page for sidebar-buddypress.php and then afterwards after the footer-buddypress section add some code in the TOP in sidebar-buddypress.
I then uploaded the new files and went to my “wp-content/themes/minimosity/” directory and found style.css and added at the bottom the code from the “Template Pack Walkthrough – Twenty Ten” page you linked me.
My sidebar-buddypress.php looks exactly as the code you posted.
This is what i basically did, i now have no sidebar shown on my buddypress sites. my website is: wehype.dk
I really appreciate your help but have i missed something?
