Thanks a lot mate. it works. thanks again.
Oh, yeah.. sorry forgot to write that. Full width.
@rairai-ni based on initial scan, you would only need to create two files for BP compatibility but it will have to be hardcoded. You’ll have to decide on either or the three layouts for ALL your BP templates:
a) content with right sidebar -> like this page OR
b) left sidebar with content -> do provide a link to a page with that layout, OR
c) full-width, no sidebar -> do provide a link to a page with that layout
@micjavier Your theme has default button.span that’s display: block which stretched out BP’s span tag. To resolve the issue, add this to your stylesheet
`a.bp-primary-action span,
#reply-title small a span {
display: inline;
}`
@mercime Hi Mercime, here’s a your test user login User: mercime Pass: qwerty12345
after you login go to this page: http://www.secretpaperbox.com/members/pulsemaggots/
You wil see in the Activity “Comments Button and Favorite” are meesed up, and now i cant even write a comment to someone. Please help. Thanks in advance.
@rairai-ni please start a new topic and include the information you posted above. This topic is specific to the Yoko theme.
== Actually, I’d like BP to appear only in a member section, so not directly in my index page, ==
@sb0n The revisions I posted above touched only the 16 template files within 6 template folders transferred to your theme’s folder in the server during the BP compatibility process, not your theme’s index.php page. I would suggest re-uploading your theme’s files manually via FTP as something else might have messed up your theme’s index.php
== changing/moving header tags ==
Sorry about that, code has been updated
@mercime Thank you so much !! : )
I changed everything and it work like a charm ; except for one thing I’m not sure about :
“Then, in each of 16 files, you’d like to change the BP Templates’ page title’s header tag from
…
or
..
to
AND move title to above
Just watch out when you do this in the /activity/index.php page.”
When you say “Titles Of Respective BP Page” which part am I supposed to change : “page-entry-header” into “page-entry-registrer” (for instance) or “entry-title” into “entry-register” or both, or neither ?
Also, with the changes everything works except the index.php page of my theme.
Actually, I’d like BP to appear only in a member section, so not directly in my index page, did I miss something / how could I do that ?
Thank you !
@ssmltd more info required to troubleshoot. Windows or Linux server? WP/BP versions? Single/Multisite? Theme used? Plugins installed?
== Activity new members lost completely! I ==
Unless you deleted it in the database, then the activity would still be there. Did you just add a plugin or two? Then deactivate those. If you changed themes, then go back to bp-default theme. If that doesn’t work, please provide more info about your installation.
Thank’s for all ya’ll’s help – Huddlle is releasing a v.1.9 which supposedly resolve the conflict w/BB1.6
However, I will wait to install BB 1.7 and then mess more with the theme. Any word on the release date?
@newmember01 you need to install/activate the BP Template Pack plugin to make your WP theme compatible with BuddyPress. Then you have to go through the BP Compatibility Process. A MusicLife theme that looks very much like your WordPress 40005 theme has been set up for Step 3 per https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/#template-packed-wordpress-themes
code has been updated and posted at http://wp.me/p1I84P-3b
@sb0n Based on the HTML structure of your theme, you need to change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your yoko theme folder in server during the compatibility process.
I would deactivate the active WP theme you’re using via FTP by renaming the theme’s folder.
== but when someone goes to create site in their dashboard it says page not found. ==
@twc01 Please clarify, when you say “dashboard”, do you mean via wp-admin? The “Create a Blog” link in Blogs Directory page using bp-default theme should go to a form in the front end where users can enter required information to set up their new blogs/subsites. Only Super Admin can create a new blog/subsite via wp-admin network.

Go to dashboard/plugins and deactivate the buddypress plugin. Just deactivating the bp-default theme is not going to do the trick.
Are you using any plugins that might be altering the forum redirect?
Have you tried using the bp-default theme with no other plugins activated?
@sb0n please provide code from your content-page.php needed for page.php
WP/BP versions? What theme are you using? Is this a new installation or one that has been upgraded? Have you tried re-uploading BuddyPress manually via FTP?
One last question on this cause I think I am still uncertain. If 1.7 contains components does that mean the components will function alongside a users blog? Can a post and user data coexist?
@diegoys it’s related to the Mingle theme. The solution would be available at theme’s site
@robert-tramontano in case you change your theme, we have a list of template-packed WP themes with step-by-step instructions listed https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/wordpress-to-buddypress-theme/
Ok I will have to get back to this when I can think clearly I am really burnt out with this right now, I appreciate the help @mercime and I will update this topic after I can take some time and try to analyze the files in the current theme and then apply the template pack to the new theme and see what I can do. Thanks
