Participant== I have already done step 4 but nothing changed in apperiance of my theme..==
First, do not disable BP Template Pack CSS. Also, the link I posted above in #4 for styles to add to your style.css file was wrong and corrected now to https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/theme-dev-bp-template-pack-walkthrough-twenty-ten-bp-1-5/3/Re: image attached. Some minor tweaks you could add to your style.css
`span.activity, div#message p {
background: #202020 none !important;
}
div.item-list-tabs {
background: #202020 none !important;
}
div.item-list-tabs ul li.selected a, div.item-list-tabs ul li.current a {
background-color: #cccccc !important;
}
div#subnav.item-list-tabs {
background: #cccccc none !important;
margin: -22px -19px 15px !important;
}`
Note: there are a lot of !important declarations there to override bp.css enqueued after your stylesheet.== Btw ajax/js of my buddypress doesnt load anything ==
Make sure you didn’t disable the BP Template Pack JS/Ajax, i.e. no check marks on this page https://mercime.files.wordpress.com/2011/10/2011-09.gifOctober 23, 2011 at 2:03 am #122457In reply to: [resolved] Buddypress don’t work

MemberHey joe, i use a buddy press theme … don’t think there is a link between my theme and buddypress. Others plugins does not seem neither involved in the trouble … Don’t understand what could i do.
Oh sorry Joe, you seemed to be right. It’s strange but it is due to aweber plungin widget at first sight.
thanks

Memberhmmm… if it were me, first I’d try disabling all other plugins and selecting the twentyeleven theme before activating buddypress. then select the buddypress default theme, then activating the other plugins one at a time.
If all that works, I’d then create a child theme for the theme I wanted to use with no content other than the required style.css bare bones file. Then I’d use the buddypress template pack to modify my child theme to be buddypress compatible and finally, activate the modified chiled theme.
good luck,
joeOctober 23, 2011 at 12:02 am #122836modemlooper
ModeratorDeactivate BuddyPress template pack if you are using a child theme and not a WordPress theme you want to add BuddyPress support to.

KeymasterThe error’s to do with a duplicate bp_dtheme_ajax_querystring() function somewhere. Did you copy that into your theme, too?
October 22, 2011 at 10:06 am #123352Paul Wong-Gibbs
KeymasterSure. In your theme, edit up /members/index.php and /members/members-loop.php. In the latter, which is where you will most likely want to make your changes, there’s a block of text starting “If you want to show specific profile fields here you can…” which explains how to add in extra fields.

KeymasterI assume you mean your regular WordPress posts’ content? I’m not sure, I haven’t seen this before. At least part of your site is working, e.g. http://www.passiveincomeformula.net/members/adrien/
It’s probably not directly related to BuddyPress, rather a theme configuration issue or a conflict with another plugin. Which plugins are you running?

MemberHave you found a solution for this issue?
I am currently experiencing the same thing. I turned off all plugins, using the default theme, running current version of Buddypress and wordpress.

Participant== How i find a new layout or edit css ? ==
Not sure what you mean by finding new layout. As for edit CSS, open up mammoth theme’s style.css file and add some or all CSS given #4 link above. If you’re using Firefox, you should add on Firebug to help you tweak your stylesOctober 21, 2011 at 5:07 pm #123319In reply to: Private message automatic recipient entry

Participant1. Just to be sure we have a clean slate,
– if you’ve only revised activity/index.php, then upload a clean copy of activity/index.php from this page https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/tags/1.5.1/bp-themes/bp-default/activity/index.php
– If you’ve revised some other files already, deactivate BP Template pack plugin. Then delete the 6 folders transferred to your mammoth theme folder in server – activity, blogs, forums, groups, members, and registration. Then activate BP Template Pack and run Appearance > BP Compatibility again to the end. Fresh BP template pack folders will then be transferred to your mammoth theme folder.2. Open up mammoth theme’s header.php and Save As header-buddypress.php in mammoth theme folder. Open up header-buddypress.php and add the following at the very bottom of the file:
``3. Create a new file in your mammoth theme folder named sidebar-buddypress.php and add the following within:
``
4. Finally, you might want to tweak the default BP styles enqueued by BP Template Pack – check out some basic tweaks in this page

@mercime
Participant@PrimeSuspect the pastebin code for your page.php is full-width for the content with no sidebar. The source of one of your pages per pastebin above shows two columns including sidebar. Which layout was it you wanted? If two columns (with sidebar), open up index.php and paste it to pastebin.

ParticipantCopy over the register.php file from bp-default theme into your child theme folder following the directory structure of bp-default i.e. into buddypress-colours/registration/register.php

ParticipantIve got most all of that sorted. Seems my earlier issues were coming from plugins which needed to be upgraded. Commenting out my functions.php caused some of the others.
Now when ever I go to any of the Buddypress specific pages I get 404 errors. I can not access the activity page nor the members and I quite trying after that. Are there some places in the database which have site specific URLS that I should update to get these pages working? Or is there something that has changed in the recent version of Buddypress which I need to make updates somewhere in my theme?
Maybe this is a good time to install the Theme Check Plugin and have a look at the results.
October 20, 2011 at 4:03 am #123299In reply to: Editing the Header in the Functions.php File…
@mercime
ParticipantAdd this to your bp-default child theme’s functions.php file
`// Disable custom header support.
define( ‘BP_DTHEME_DISABLE_CUSTOM_HEADER’, true );`I noticed that you’re making the changes in the bp-default theme at plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default. When you update BuddyPress, your theme revisions will be overwritten. I recommend that you create a chlid theme of bp-default theme https://codex.buddypress.org/theme-development/building-a-buddypress-child-theme/
October 20, 2011 at 3:04 am #123292In reply to: [Resolved] Compatibility issue with Mammoth Theme
@mercime
Participant@PrimeSuspect there’s a second method now in BP template pack to make your theme compatible with BP and it would be appropriate for your theme. I need you to go to a page on your site and View Source Code. Copy all and paste in pastebin.com and post the generated URL here. I need it to compare HTML with the source of page template you posted.
October 20, 2011 at 2:35 am #122196In reply to: [Resolved] Upgraded Buddypress now I have WSOD
@mercime
ParticipantTo help you update your theme,
1. set WP_DEBUG to true in wp-config.php
2. Install, activate and run Theme Check plugin
3. Install and activate Debogger plugin
4. Install and activate Log Deprecated Notices pluginWhen you run the Theme Check plugin, you will see all the Warnings and Requirements (must do) plus the Recommended and Info notices, With the Log Deprecated Notices plugin, go to Tools > Deprecated Calls and there could be a list of deprecated tags present in active theme and what tags you can replace them with
