Then, in each of 16 files, you’d like to make sure that the BP Templates’ page title’s header which have`
.// title

Save files.

What do you mean?
@wizza Based on the structure of your theme, you need to change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your sportsmag theme folder in server during the compatibility process.
If you’ve previously changed any of the BP template files in your theme folder in server, replace all of them for a clean slate by deleting the 6 BP folders – /activity, /blogs, /forums, /groups, /members, and /registration – then re-run Appearance > BP Compatibility.
Download the 6 clean BP folders to your computer hard drive.
A. At the top of each of those 16 template files I linked to above, replace
`
with
`
Then, in each of 16 files, you’d like to make sure that the BP Templates’ page title’s header which have`
` are changed to `
` and move to just above `
Save files.

Let me know if I need to clear anything up.
Hi Karma/ Paul,
Thanks for the explanation guys.
How would I verify if this was firing?
The cron job is definitely being updated in terms of the times it shows for running. It seems to run once per day.
The thing is, I have just set up a brand new vanilla BP install of the latest version of BP 1.6.1 and after using the WP Cron Dashboard plugin to check on cron jobs, it too shows that NO action exists.
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-cron-dashboard/
That is now 3 separate installs it’s showing no action for.
Perhaps there has been an issue on a BP update, but i’ve checked crons regularly from the dashboard to make sure they are all still there, and I’ve never noticed an issue with this job in the past.
All other crons show just fine WITH actions existing.
Perhaps someone else could install the plugin and see if they get the same result.
To set up the cron, you should only need to post to the activity stream once after installing BP on a fresh install.
The job will then show up under the Tools —> Wp Cron menu in the dashboard.
Hopefully we’ll work it out.
Let me know how I can help out.
You can download BP Activity Plus plugin here:
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-activity-plus/
It allows easy sharing of photos, youtube videos, and links!
This problem was caused by a change made by Gravatar. We have a bug ticket tracking the issue at https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4571
Thank you for your quick reply. This is strange because my page never had anything to do with gravatar.com. I also deactivated the plugin “Jetpack for WordPress” which seemd to be a possible trigger for this i0.wp.com, but nothing changed.
What do you mean with “I’ll raise it with Automat(t)ic”? I’m not a native English speaker.
Rgds
1. Sure. If you want the complaints to be private, just set up a contact form. If you want complaints to be public or semi-private set up Group and/or Sitewide forums.
2. You need the Domain Mapping plugin. Then you need either:
– https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-multi-network/ OR
– http://buddydev.com/buddypress/introducing-buddypress-multi-network-plugin-create-multiple-separate-social-networks-on-a-single-buddypress-install/
You’d have to ask plugin devs whether either or both are compatible with Domain Mapping plugin though I haven’t heard issues with either so far.
3. In either multinetwork plugins above, there are ways and means to do what you need – some coding required.
4. Yes, using either of the multinetwork plugin above, you do keep those components separate.
5. Yes, I posted both in #2
6. No, the networks do not have to use the same theme at all.
7. No limit to number of networks. One can only be limited by server and coding skills.
try the QUICK FLAG plugin (http://www.techytalk.info/wordpress-plugins/quick-flag/), it will get you half way there
Hi, you can perhaps start by looking at this thread it should give you some pointers: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/using-the-wordpress-login-and-register-pages-instead-of-buddypress/
Think ‘ve found a bug with the software
Problem if you enable together

@nstjwz Based on the structure of your theme, you need to use the first option, i.e., change 16 template files within the 6 BP folders transferred to your simpolio theme folder in server during the compatibility process.
`
with
`
Then, in each of 16 files, you’d like to change the BP Templates’ page title’s header tag from `
` or `
` to `
` and move to just right under “
Watch out when you do this in the /activity/index.php page.
Save files.
Not possible yet. See https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4436
Thanks
I manage to convert SMF to phpbb and from phpbb to bbPress. However I didn’t like the bbPress-forum.. and somehow the different boards from SMF and phpbb didn’t work out in bbPress..
Is there some way to connect either SMF or phpbb to buddypress?
I found this: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/phpbb-single-sign-on/
and that might be a solution, but I think it would be better if it was more integrated with buddypress
It sounds like you’re just missing the code for the widgets to show up.
Since I don’t have access to the Huddle theme, it should be as simple as adding the dynamic_sidebar() function to your frontpage template:
https://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/dynamic_sidebar
Make sure you know what the sidebar ID is though. Again, this sounds like a theme issue. Try contacting the theme developers for Huddle.
Yes, it’s possible. But it would require custom development.
You might want to look into s2member. That’s one option, but there are probably a few others as well.
There are plugins that already do this:
BuddyPress Links – https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-links/
BP-Media – https://code.google.com/p/buddypress-media/
BP Media Component – http://rtcamp.com/buddypress-media/
I want the headbangers ball on MTV to come back but it doesn’t always mean we get what we want.
Anyway try the Envolve plugin, it doesn’t integrate as perfect as I would like with BP but its free with up too 25 simultaneous chats. Get it here:
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/envolve-chat/
You can post at plugin’s forums https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/buddypress-activity-plus > click on Support tab
