Hi guys,
I’m reporting one issue involving following software versions:
WP 4.5.2
TwentySixteen 1.2
BuddyPress 2.5.2
Slider Revolution 5.2.5.1Basically, basic WP setup plus two plugins. The thing is, when BuddyPress and Slider Revolution are both activated, error message is as follows:

Thanks in advance for any assistance.
I use BuddyPress plugin. Today I saw this message.
Debug Error “bp_setup_current_user was called incorrectly”. The current user is being initialized without using $wp->init().
This error removes when I deactivate Yoast.
Is it a Yoast bug or BuddyPress bug? How to solve it?

Best regards,
MaksymI’m seeing this notice in the logs after updating my development environment to to 2.5 RC1. Just thought I would share it here. I’m still triaging the cause.

Hey folks,
Still trying to track down a problem with the activation of BuddyPress on our site. In the debug.log which was suggested I turn on and review, have lots of these..

I guess the bottom line question, is there a way to find older versions of plugins of various sorts to go backwards in time on them?
Or are we regularly tweaking the php files of plugins?
If anyone has any ideas for fixes, we’ll I’d appreciate any minutes you can spare.
Trudging along,
PaulHi all !
I’ve just updated my WP installation to 4.4.1 and now, when i try to upload a file to media liobrary, i get a An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.
I’ve monitored the async-upload.php call and i get the following error :
bbp_setup_current_user was called incorrectly. The current user is being initialized without using $wp->init().
Is it an issue till 4.4.1 or have i miss something ?
thanks a lot !
François
I just now installed the plugin fresh and I was presented with an error about extra output. I also wound up with a message that members weren’t associated correctly and it gave me a “Repair” button to click. When I clicked that, though, I ended up with this:
Notice: bp_setup_current_user was called incorrectly. The current user is being initialized without using $wp->init(). Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 1.7.) in /home/kctt/public_html/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3622
Any info on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
Hello. Im using default wp theme (Twenty Fifteen) and default BuddyPress plugin.
I got a warning:
"Notice: bp_setup_current_user was called incorrectly. The current user is being initialised without using $wp->init().
Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 1.7.) in public_html\wp-includes\functions.php on line 3622"
Yep. I have “WP_DEBUG” constant as TRUE (it’s my dev environment).
What is wrong here? Is it bug?The warning disappears when i remove the 36 line from the file “bp-core-actions.php”
add_action( 'set_current_user', 'bp_setup_current_user', 10 );
wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/bp-core-actions.php:36It seems, that plugin’s authors are using some dirty code.
PS I cannot add a bug report on the page https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/. I click “login” link, but the page reloaded without changes. This plugin make me sad unfortunatly.
