Participant@hnla Yes, they have a forum. I was also asking over there. And I’m not the only one.
Do you have an idea why that bp-default path has two slashes?

ParticipantBP Default theme -> Go to the Blogs Directory page. There’s a “Create A Blog” link beside the title, Blogs Directory.

ParticipantWell no reason you can’t run it from functions.php is there? I keep my own classes function in a stock functions file for general use where I may need classes in addition to those provided.

Participant@bilalturkmen This forum is for BuddyPress-related issues. Please post at the WordPress Forums -> https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting and do include more information about your install like : WP version? When did you see the message? Did you install/delete and plugin/theme just before this happened? That will help the volunteers there help you.

Participant@mercime Thanks for your reply. It’s working with bp-default

The reason to ask here in the bp forum is, that Andy doesn’t care. And it is confusing for me to see part of bp-default in my page source (created by Salutation), and to see that double slash…

November 15, 2012 at 6:15 pm #145080In reply to: [Resolved] Activating Personal Blogs ?
@mercime
Participant@monkfish13 I suggest that you deactivate BuddyPress before creating a network. If you encounter any multisite issues, please post at https://wordpress.org/support/forum/multisite
Make sure your multisite is working as expected before activating BP.

@mercime
Participant== I would like to activate the personal blogs for users on my site. ==
You need to Create a Network first (go multisite) https://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network
BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG is a different animal entirely https://codex.buddypress.org/developer-docs/bp_enable_multiblog/November 15, 2012 at 5:53 pm #145075November 15, 2012 at 5:48 pm #145074In reply to: Possible to Block IPs from Signing Up?

ParticipantYou probably found the solution by bow, just thought I should post for future reference. Also had the same issue a few weeks ago and found this: http://wp.tutsplus.com/tutorials/security/best-practices-for-preventing-buddypress-spam-user-registrations/
Hope it helps you or the next person looking for the solution.November 15, 2012 at 5:48 pm #145073@mercime
ParticipantThis is a known issue. Check out https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4571
November 15, 2012 at 5:29 pm #145072In reply to: Hide My Account Menu
hughshields
ParticipantThe name of the menu is ‘my-account-buddypress’. This is a buddypress menu and therefore you cannot find it in the wordpress adminbar.php file. It is added when you installed buddypress. You can remove it by adding the following to your theme’s functions.php file:
function remove_bp_adminbar() {
global $wp_admin_bar;
$wp_admin_bar->remove_menu(‘my-account-buddypress’);
}
add_action( ‘wp_before_admin_bar_render’, ‘remove_bp_adminbar’ );If someone knows the names of the submenus in this buddypress menu I would like to know them so that I can remove the redundant ones (media, forms, friends etc).

ParticipantCool. Glad you fixed it
Marking this as resolved.November 15, 2012 at 4:29 pm #145067In reply to: Elegant themes compatibility – Lucid
@mercime
Participant@rakshithvbharanigmailcom Open up your theme’s header.php, copy all, paste all at pastebin.com, click submit, and post the generated pastebin.com URI here. Do the same with your theme’s page.php, index.php, sidebar.php and footer.php

Pepperbase
ParticipantYou are right. When I add the code to the bp-default functions.php it works on all pages. Somehow, the priority settings are not working.
Or at least I am not getting it done.
November 15, 2012 at 2:08 pm #145059In reply to: [Resolved] body_class filter for buddypress pages
Pepperbase
ParticipantI tested the code on the bp-default theme (only wordpress and buddypress activated). It works on normal pages, but not on the buddypress pages (members/activity etc). Hence, it behaves the same as on the pagelines theme.
I tried different priority settings for the filter in the plugin, but without any results. Any other suggestions I could try?

KeymasterIt’s a custom theme; and, no, it’s not available.
November 15, 2012 at 1:03 pm #145051Stefan
ParticipantOk, I’ve fixed this. Not sure what went wrong the first time but I removed the BP template pack, renamed the template folders in my theme folder (because I couldn’t delete them) and uploaded fresh ones manually. No edits to the register.php works. Thanks!
